Real Housewives of RHOC keep infidelity secret

Heather Dubrow, reality tv star of the Real Housewives of Orange County has shown that she has the composure to keep a secret, until she is challenged by her frenemy, Shannon Beador, that is. Seems like there was a lot of dishing during the RHOC Reunion trailer.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

During a RHOC reunion trailer, Heather Dubrow yelled at Shannon Beador, her cast mate of the Real Housewives of Orange County Bravo franchise, “I could have blown up your family. I knew David was having an affair. By the way, you knew David was having an affair?”

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Cast members of the Real Housewives Bravo franchise are not alone. Shannon Beador and her husband, David met while both attended college at the University of Southern California (USC). They eventually became college sweethearts and later stayed married for 17 years. The broke up in 2017 and dissolved their marriage two years later.

The Real Housewives Tips for You

Common everyday married women as well as reality tvy stars like Shannon Beador, celebrity cast member of the Real Housewives of Orange County, dread with great apprehension and even fear to hear the utterance of these phrases from their partner and/or long term mate:

  • I need more space.
  • I don’t love you anymore.
  • I am seeing someone else.
  • I want a divorce.

What is dreaded even more, perhaps is when the jilted wife finds out from her bestie, frenemy or close associate that her husband’s infidelity was known all along.

As bad as the wronged wife (Shannon Beador) may feel about her husband’s cheating, just think of the predicament her bestfriend or frenemy (Heather Dubrow) has to live through and process.

According to relationship expert quoted in the NYTimes, a friend who has discovered that her friend’s husband is cheating with another woman needs to answer these questions. In so doing, they can determine the best course of action.

  • Are you emotionally close enough to your friend or frenemy to feel that she is entitled to find out the bad news from you? Maybe Heather Dubrow did not feel as though she was considered a true confidant or trustworthy, so she kept silent on Shannon Beador’s husband’s affair.
  • Would your friend or frenemy expect you to tell her? Maybe Heather Dubrow isn’t in Shannon Beador’s tight circle, so there were no expectations.
  • Would you feel confident knowing that you are shouldering some of the blame for a marriage destroyed? Perhaps Heather Dubrow rationalized that keeping silent and using the strategy ‘see no evil, hear no evil’ is the best approach. Why get involved if you do not know all of the details?

In closing, the relationship suggested that it is probably best for the friend to inform the spouse of her husband’s infidelity. Why? Because the friend/frenemy (Heather Dubrow) is disempowering Shannon Beador by failing to inform her. To paraphrase, Heather Debrow should have told Shannon Beador so that the ball would be in her court. “By protecting her from the truth, you would be taking a decision that rightly belongs to her.”

RHOC Daughter wants to be a house wife

The daughter of Lauri Peterson, one of the celebrity housewives of The Real Housewives of Orange County wants to be follow in her mother’s footsteps. Ashley yearns to be a house wife. Ashley Zarlin wants to forget fulltime career aspirations!

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Ashley Zarlin, the daughter of Lauri Peterson, one of the original cast of the Real Housewives of Orange County is not alone in her assessment. Zarlin must have read an article appearing in the Harvard Business Review about how unhappy unmarried, childless career women can be. Based upon the loving relationship Ashley Zarlin has with her mom, Lauri Peterson, she would be happy to welcome her has a ‘legacy’ member of the Real Housewives Bravo franchise. In fact, in the early years of the Real Housewives of Orange County, Ashley was featured as a bartender on the reality television show.

The Real Housewives Tips for You

Hewlett, its author presented research showing that around middle age, about one-third to one-half of all successful career women in America are childless. She shared that in the group of working women who are white collar professionals such as doctors, lawyers and academician, the figure falls to 33%. However, it rises to 42% of career women who work in corporate America.

She writes, “the yearn for children.” Hwelett states further, ‘the typical high-achieving woman childless at midlife has not [consciously or deliberately] made a choice but a creeping nonchoice.”

Hewlett conducted a follow-up study of the top 10% of women based on earning power. She found that “the brutal demands of ambitious careers, the asymmetries of male-female relationships, and the difficulties of bearing children late in life conspire to crowd out the possibility of having children.”

The Real Housewives Tips for You

Much like the Real Housewives of Orange County reality tv star, Lauri Peterson’s daughter, Ashley Zarlin, many members of the Real Housewives of Bravo franchise, women may be waking up to the myth of the joys of executive careers and the rewards promised when breaking the glass ceiling.

In a more recent study, Pew Research discovered that even though women are waiting longer to have a child, “women today are more likely to have children than a decade ago.” In fact, unlike the stars of The Real Housewives franchise, “the majority of women between the ages of 40 to 44 who have never married have had a baby.”

So maybe Ashley Zarlin, daughter of Lauri Peterson, original reality star of the Real Housewives of Orange County is on to something after all.

Real Housewives Beverly Hills Daughter Uneasy

Bella Hadid, Daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alum Yoland Hadid

Bella Hadid, the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Yolanda Hadid, said recently that she “wasn’t super comfortable in Mohamed’s house as a kid.”

Was it because of differing religions, culture or life experiences? No, Bella Hadid explained that visiting her dad’s lavish and luxurious homes “made her feel a bit uneasy while growing up.” She reflected upon the weekends that she stayed over his house, she felt like she was living a “borrowed life.”

From a psychological and behavioral perspective, when one feels as though they are living a “borrowed life,” they experience intense feelings of being lost while attempting to meet the expectations of others. This can happen when children, teens and young adults try fervently to meet the demands of their parents, teachers and mentors at the expense of achieving their own personal goals and realizing their own dreams that they have for themselves.

Another corollary to living a borrowed life is the “imposter syndrome.” For young kids, adolescents and teens, regardless of celebrity, income or social status, these feelings can be harmful for young kids, adolescents and teens.. How so? When your child seeks to individuate from you as their parent, ie become their own person, establish their own unique identities, and identify their own preferences, interests and hobbies; they are merely beginning the process of healthy maturation.

Individuation is a psychological term to represent a vital stage in human development where teens and young adults start to find themselves, and define who they are. At this stage, your child may begin to assert their own individual and independent identity and establish a cohesive sense of self.

If this critical phase of the maturation process isn’t allowed to fully develop, your child runs the risk of lacking a clear sense of who they are. They may start to feel uneasy seeking their own personal goals when they perceive that their goals differ or are in conflict with those of their parents. The website Good Therapy indicates, that as a result of this cognitive dissonance, “feelings of depression and anxiety may result.”

Another potential consequence is the imposter syndrome. This is a condition in which the suffer believes that he/she is not as competent, worthy or as capable as others perceive them to be and can lead also to depression and anxiety. Even though we are talking about celebrity stars, family members of reality tv cast members; feelings of inadequacy can impact us all. Although both sisters gave plausible reasons for scheduling conflicts related to filming, production, and family matters; many fans noticed the snub.

Real Housewives of New York City De Lesseps in recovery

Leann de Lesseps provides insight on Real Housewives of NYC

Luann de Lesseps, celebrity reality tv star of Real Housewives of New York City admits that she is a recovering alcoholic. Unfortunately, an embarrassing incident at a gay bar led to her admission. It was reported by the New York Post that during a karaoke session, she grabbed the microphone and started to belch out cabaret songs.

This isn’t the first time that the featured cast member of the Real Housewives of New York City humiliated herself in public. A few years ago, Luann De Lesseps, also known as “the Countess” was arrested on Christmas Eve while in Palm Beach, Florida. We’ve had to make excuses for family members who have succumbed to the temporary highs of alcohol, illicit drugs, and prescription pain killers. Many have attempted interventions and sought to pressure abusers to seek medical attention and to convince those who are still in denial. It looks as though Luann De Lesseps has come a long way and may recover yet.

As Luann De Lesseps said herself, “while I’ve made great strides over the years, there’s been times I’ve fallen. It’s one day at a time!” Interested in real housewives tips you can use to help a member in your family who has been enticed by substances to abuse them? Please read below

Many housewives as mothers of teens and young adults can attest, arrests due to drug possession is on rise in the U.S. The Bureau of Drug Statistics estimates that the number of arrests for drug abuse violations has been increasing among adults. At the same time, arrests have decreased for youth under the age of 18. Son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City dropped Charges

Charges dropped against son of Mary Cosby, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Star

There was good news this past week for Mary Cosby, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star. She found out that prosecutors decided to drop the criminal charges against her son, Robert Cosby Jr.

What was the potential criminal case? Mary Cosby’s son was initially charged with unlawful sheltering of a runaway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Even though Robert Cosby, son of Mary Cosby, star of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City became entangled in the snares of the law because someone called the police because his girlfriend was there at the time they were called.

But this is a teachable moment. Do you want to know more about runaway laws? Are you worried that you or your loved ones could potentially face the wrath of the law, just for helping a runaway?

Real Housewives Tips for You

Legal experts cite studies which show that during 2016 and 2017, about 700,000 youths between the 13 and 17 years of age experienced some form of homelessness. What causes homelessness? Getting involuntarily kicked out of the family house and/or voluntarily running away. When children or teens need a place to stay, they may visit a local shelter, ask friends for help or seek the counsel and couch of an adult mentor, coach or extended family member.

If you open your home to a child who has run away from their home or has been forcefully removed by their parents, you, like the son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary Crosby, could face criminal charges.

  1. Ensure that the child approaches you for assistance, not the other way around.
  2. Take necessary precautions to determine whether the child is seeking to escape from a police officer, peace officer, probation officer, group home, residential treatment or detention facility.
  3. Refrain from physically forcing the child to influence them to go with you to your home.
  4. Seek the permission of their parents prior to inviting them into your household.
  5. Refrain from knowingly concealing or sheltering the child from their parents or the public.
  6. Refrain from showing indifference to their homelessness and/or runaway status.

Even though there are heightened risks of criminal charges (felony and/or misdemeanor) related to harboring a runaway, legal experts suggest these defenses have proven useful.

  1. The harboring adult is related to the minor by blood or marriage.
  2. The harboring adult notified the parents, law enforcement or the place where the child escaped within 24 hours of learning that the child was a runaway.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and wives, housewives, mothers and daugthers across all income levels, race and geography have a close affinity for the protection of kids and minors. Particularly those in trouble, in need, or neglected. However, it would be most prudent to review these tips to prevent the likelihood of being on the wrong side of the law.

Daughter Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Treats Drug Overdose

Delilah Belle Hamlin daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna at the Peak before Drug Overdose

The daughter (Delilah Belle Hamlin) of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna divulged to her Instagram audience a few days ago that she is recovering from a drug addiction.

She did not seek to buy illegal drugs from the criminal elements of society or crafty drug dealers. In fact, her drug dealer seemed to be her regular doctor who she believed, “overprescribed her medication for multiple conditions.” Namely, “migraines, panic attacks and a pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder (PANDAs).”

She pondered to her followers, ““I wasn’t like a drug addict, but my body was dependent on it [Xanax] because of how much the doctor had prescribed me,” she shared.

The US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHA) surveyed youth (using 2014 data) where almost 6,000 of them reported that they used prescription pain relievers without a doctor’s prescription. A common myth believed by youth and young adults is that prescription drugs are safer to abuse than illicit, illegal drugs.

Real Housewives Tips for You

Parents, housewives, mothers and dads should be weary of these common prescription drugs often found in the medicine cabinets or cupboards of their own homes.

  • The chemicals found in Stimulants act much like cocaine. They may induce these side effects: paranoia, dangerously high body temperatures, and an irregular heartbeat.
  • The active chemicals found in Opioids cause reactions in the human brain similar to those of heroin. Side effects of this drug can cause drowsiness, nausea, constipation, and slowed breathing.
  • The chemicals found in Depressants can cause slurred speech, shallow breathing, fatigue, disorientation, lack of coordination, and seizures after the withdrawal from longtime use.

Ways to curtail the enticement of misuse, abuse and illegal use of prescription drugs:

  1. Educate your child on the harm prescriptions drugs may inflict. The human brain continues to grow and develop in physical size up to the early 20s. Therefore it is important to become informed on the impact of prescription drugs on the developing brain.
  2. Ensure that you safely store and dispose of prescribed drugs. Approximately, two-thirds of teens who misused prescription medications tend to say that they got them from family and friends, including their home’s medicine cabinets.

Finally, if your child or young adult has been legally prescribed medications by a general physician, practitioner or psychiatrist;

3. Make it your duty to monitor the dosage, side effects, and contraindications of all of the medications prescribed.

This last step may by the item overlooked by Lisa Rinna, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as well as many wives, housewives, parents and moms who do not live the celebrity lifestyle.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennie Nguyen has been removed from the cast of the celebrity reality tv show. She was alleged to have reposted images and that described Black Lives Matters protesters as “violent gangs” and claiming to have hit a white elderly couple with her car.

Not to pile up on the vitriol that Jennie Nguyen circulating or the pain that she is going through right now,. Nor to condone her actions and speech, one wonders what has happened to civility in America? Particularly from a member of a minority group who may be more sensitive to and aware of the the dangers of hate speech.

Jennie Nguyen is one of the 1.4 million Vietnamese Americans in this country. which constitutes about 3% of the estimated 44.5 million immigrants in the US. California and Texas are two states with the highest concentration of Vietnamese Americans living in the country as of 2019.

A recent 2021 study by Pew Research Center found that “eight in ten Asians say that violence in the US against them is increasing.” Why would star of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City seek to draw violence or increase the likelihood of such attack upon oneself?

Real Housewives Tips for You

But getting back to her hurtful comments. The contained harm caused by negative taunts expressed verbally between and among one’s small sphere of friends in the physical world is constrained by those within one’s physical presence or limited geographical region. On the other hand, the potential damage inflicted upon others in the virtual world is not confined by time, space or location.

According to BBC, forty percent of the global population use social media roughly two hours each day. We share, like, post thumbs down, tweet, and post selfies as regular daily activities added to the essential list of eating, drinking, and sleeping. Some experts estimate that hooked up and wired humans share half of one million tweets and Snapchat photos every minute.

How is this dangerous?

The Pew Research Center conducted a survey of almost 2000 people in 2015. Women participants were more stressed than the male counterparts. Online usage of social media platforms such as Twitter was found to be a “significant contributor” becaus

So think about it. As humans we are not only distressed by experiencing our own stress, we are saddened, troubled and worried by the stress we perceive others feel.

That’s good news for humanity then. Our instinctual nature to ‘love others as we love ourselves’ isn’t quite dead yet. Which is why stars as Alex Baldwin, Robert DeNiro, Whoopie Goldberg and yes, Jennie Nguyen, formerly of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City should think twice before posting comments or images that may be considered discomforting to people simply because of the racial, religious, ethnic or national tribe in which they belong.
