Real Housewives Beverly Hills Daughter Uneasy

Bella Hadid, Daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alum Yoland Hadid

Bella Hadid, the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Yolanda Hadid, said recently that she “wasn’t super comfortable in Mohamed’s house as a kid.”

Was it because of differing religions, culture or life experiences? No, Bella Hadid explained that visiting her dad’s lavish and luxurious homes “made her feel a bit uneasy while growing up.” She reflected upon the weekends that she stayed over his house, she felt like she was living a “borrowed life.”

From a psychological and behavioral perspective, when one feels as though they are living a “borrowed life,” they experience intense feelings of being lost while attempting to meet the expectations of others. This can happen when children, teens and young adults try fervently to meet the demands of their parents, teachers and mentors at the expense of achieving their own personal goals and realizing their own dreams that they have for themselves.

Another corollary to living a borrowed life is the “imposter syndrome.” For young kids, adolescents and teens, regardless of celebrity, income or social status, these feelings can be harmful for young kids, adolescents and teens.. How so? When your child seeks to individuate from you as their parent, ie become their own person, establish their own unique identities, and identify their own preferences, interests and hobbies; they are merely beginning the process of healthy maturation.

Individuation is a psychological term to represent a vital stage in human development where teens and young adults start to find themselves, and define who they are. At this stage, your child may begin to assert their own individual and independent identity and establish a cohesive sense of self.

If this critical phase of the maturation process isn’t allowed to fully develop, your child runs the risk of lacking a clear sense of who they are. They may start to feel uneasy seeking their own personal goals when they perceive that their goals differ or are in conflict with those of their parents. The website Good Therapy indicates, that as a result of this cognitive dissonance, “feelings of depression and anxiety may result.”

Another potential consequence is the imposter syndrome. This is a condition in which the suffer believes that he/she is not as competent, worthy or as capable as others perceive them to be and can lead also to depression and anxiety. Even though we are talking about celebrity stars, family members of reality tv cast members; feelings of inadequacy can impact us all. Here are a few real housewives tips, suggestions and recommendations to lessen the threat to you, your family and your loved ones.

  5. Listen to the feedback your child provides to you when communicating with them and playing with them.

Real Housewives Beverly Hills Sibling Rivalry

Kathy Hilton and daughter Paris Hilton, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills visit DC

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality tv stars and sisters, Kyle Richards and Kim Richards jilted their sister’s, Kathy Hilton’s 63rd birthday party. Although both sisters gave plausible reasons for scheduling conflicts related to filming, production, and family matters; many fans noticed the snub.

To make matters worse, the rebuff of their physical presence was mirrored by their refrain from posting birthday tributes to their Real Housewives of Beverly Hills sister online and on social media.

Even though the agency representatives for each reality celebrity tv star declined to identify any rift between the three sisters; fans comments upon these three beefs:

  1. Kyle Richards called Kim Richards an alcoholic on camera,
  2. Kyle Richards’ husband, Maurico Umansky, left Hilton & Hyland that was founded by Kathy’s husband, Rick Hilton, to start his own real estate company, The Agency; a direct competitor to his brother-in-law.
  3. Kyle Richards developed a tv pilot based upon their mother that only lasted one season. Her sisters were adamantly against the ty program.

The problems of reality tv stars, the rich, and famous celebrities are not unique to them. Regardless of fame or income, if we have siblings, moms and dads, extended family members, and children; we also get into disagreements from time to time.

Conflicts related to sharing private family matters and personal failings publicly, working as an employee, manager or director and/or starting rival firms as founder or CEO, and developing or investing in projects for which others may voice dissent are not new. They are universal and such dysfunctions are a part of everyday life.

Daughter Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Treats Drug Overdose

Delilah Belle Hamlin daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna at the Peak before Drug Overdose

The daughter (Delilah Belle Hamlin) of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna divulged to her Instagram audience a few days ago that she is recovering from a drug addiction.

She did not seek to buy illegal drugs from the criminal elements of society or crafty drug dealers. In fact, her drug dealer seemed to be her regular doctor who she believed, “overprescribed her medication for multiple conditions.” Namely, “migraines, panic attacks and a pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder (PANDAs).”

She pondered to her followers, ““I wasn’t like a drug addict, but my body was dependent on it [Xanax] because of how much the doctor had prescribed me,” she shared.

The US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHA) surveyed youth (using 2014 data) where almost 6,000 of them reported that they used prescription pain relievers without a doctor’s prescription. A common myth believed by youth and young adults is that prescription drugs are safer to abuse than illicit, illegal drugs.

Real Housewives Tips for You

Parents, housewives, mothers and dads should be weary of these common prescription drugs often found in the medicine cabinets or cupboards of their own homes.

  • The chemicals found in Stimulants act much like cocaine. They may induce these side effects: paranoia, dangerously high body temperatures, and an irregular heartbeat.
  • The active chemicals found in Opioids cause reactions in the human brain similar to those of heroin. Side effects of this drug can cause drowsiness, nausea, constipation, and slowed breathing.
  • The chemicals found in Depressants can cause slurred speech, shallow breathing, fatigue, disorientation, lack of coordination, and seizures after the withdrawal from longtime use.

Ways to curtail the enticement of misuse, abuse and illegal use of prescription drugs:

  1. Educate your child on the harm prescriptions drugs may inflict. The human brain continues to grow and develop in physical size up to the early 20s. Therefore it is important to become informed on the impact of prescription drugs on the developing brain.
  2. Ensure that you safely store and dispose of prescribed drugs. Approximately, two-thirds of teens who misused prescription medications tend to say that they got them from family and friends, including their home’s medicine cabinets.

Finally, if your child or young adult has been legally prescribed medications by a general physician, practitioner or psychiatrist;

3. Make it your duty to monitor the dosage, side effects, and contraindications of all of the medications prescribed.

This last step may by the item overlooked by Lisa Rinna, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as well as many wives, housewives, parents and moms who do not live the celebrity lifestyle.

Carlton Gebbia Speaks On Separating from ‘Soulmate of 20 Years’: ‘He Was My Everything’

carlton-gebbia-435-9845762

People.com:

Carlton Gebbia is opening up about why she and her husband David Gebbia chose to separate after nearly two decades of marriage.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 4 alum, who will mark 18 years of marriage to her husband on Sept. 19, publicly confirmed her yearlong separation on Aug. 25.

Two weeks following news of the couple’s split, Gebbia exclusively tells PEOPLE that although she has “experienced every conceivable emotion similar to the grieving process” throughout the past 12 months, she and her husband are “finally on the same page.”

“It was never a verbal decision between him and I. It just sort of happened naturally. It was a gradual breakup of our relationship over a period of time,” Gebbia says of her 47-year-old husband. “This man was my soulmate for 20 years and never would I have imagined this. He was my everything, but we’ve been together a long time. …[It] is wonderful now to know that we can still continue to be partners because we had always worked so well together in the past.”

Though Gebbia, 42, only appeared on RHOBH for one season, she credits her experience on the Bravo reality series to strengthening her marriage.

“I have to add, because I have heard about the Housewives curse, my experience with Bravo and the show actually made my relationship with David stronger,” Gebbia tells PEOPLE. “He has always had my back, but this was like a different animal. We had a partnership and worked really well together.”

Looking to the future, Gebbia is uncertain about the couple’s relationship and what is to come, but she credits her experience on RHOBH to learning another life lesson.

“The one thing that I learned ironically from Housewives – which I said I would never ever do reality – is never to say ‘never.’ Ultimately, there’s no end game here. We’re just working together as a team, I guess, in the most positive way we know how. I mean, he will always be one of the most amazing men I’ve ever known and I will always consider him my soulmate. When I met him, I called him ‘my destiny’ and I said if we ever had a little girl, that’s what her name would be,” she says. “I think I’m just dealing in the moment.”

Currently living in the family’s Beverly Hills home, the mother of three, who is still designing houses and is “also considering going back into acting” (which she calls “one of [her] passions), says she feels a “sense of relief” that news of the yearlong separation is public: “It felt like I was sort of hiding a lie and a secret and it just didn’t feel good.”

“It is still very, very raw. I still go through the emotions and waves. After being together 20 years, it’s just not something that is buried immediately,” Gebbia tells PEOPLE. She adds, “But as long as our children are happy and we keep running together positively, that is all that I can ask for. I don’t want our children affected by this in a negative way.”

Carlton Gebbia Sued for Allegedly Attacking Housekeeper

1228-david-carlton-gebbia-tmz-getty-3-9361078

TMZ.com:

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ alum Carlton Gebbia mopped the floor with her housekeeper, and the maid’s now taking her to court … and she says Gebbia even tried to kill herself.

The housekeeper — referred to in the lawsuit as Jane Doe — claims she was hired by Gebbia back in 2011 and toiled for 6 years as a housekeeper/nanny/chauffeur/grocery shopper/assistant.

Jane Doe claims Gebbia was often under the influence of alcohol and repeated physically, verbally and emotionally abusing her, including slapping her. She says 4 months ago, without provocation, a drunken Gebbia attacked her at her Bev Hills home.

She says the trigger was when Jane Doe texted Carlton’s husband, David, and said Carlton had broken the TV in the movie room with a baseball bat. Jane Doe says when she tried to calm Carlton down, she became enraged, yelled at her and pushed her so hard, she fell against the door.
She says she was badly injured and was given 2 weeks off. She says the following month, she was fired.

Even more interesting … the maid says over the last 6 years, Gebbia attempted to harm herself … she mentions one incident in which she allegedly threw herself off the second story of her home.

We’ve reached out to Carlton’s rep … who said, “No comment.”
