The Real Housewives of Nashville

Jana Kramer is not part of The Real Housewives of Nashville – but she’s not saying no to reality TV.

With the latest episode of her and her husband’s podcast, Winne Down and Jana Kramer and Michael Corsin, an exclusive sneak peek of People, the One Tree Hill alum explains that she was asked to film for the Real Housewives of Nashville but declined “three times.”

“The only reason I enjoyed it with Teddy [Mellencamp Alloyave] is because it might be fun to be someone’s sidekick, a fun sidekick,” Kramer said, noting that he had previously considered being a “friend” to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ MellenCamp Alloave.

Kramer, 37, said, “When they were trying to cast the Real Housewives of Nashville and they were interested in me as one of the characters I didn’t like girl drama, I didn’t want to be a part of it, I don’t want to eat into it.

The Bravo housewives franchise may not be for her, but the star says she and Cosin, 34, are open to joining the reality series and have filmed presentations for their own shows.

“We’re not saying no to reality TV, I know a lot of people asked us to do a reality show, it’s about what kind of show it is because it wasn’t like I would attack a girl,” the country singer says. “I know they come in and look at our marriage and you know the ins and outs and how we work through it, but you’re still doing drama.

“So it’s a presentation where we shoot something and we don’t know if it’s going to be taken up, and we know we’re sharing podcasts and so much here, so if we really do, we don’t even know if it’s something at the end of the day, but sometimes it’s a kiss of death,” Kramer adds. ‘I’m scared, so I have to think about it and be careful.’

Kramer points out that she and Kosin are “fine” sharing their fights on the podcast, but worry that things will be well edited on the reality show.

“All of us are like, ‘Yes, we have a problem, no, it’s not perfect, but this is how we’re getting through it’, and I’m not sure they’ll show the ‘this is how we’re getting through it’ aspect,” the mom-of-two says. I don’t want to read more because I’m already fed up with comments on how much is a train wreck.

As for how to proceed with the shoot, Kosin said he struggled to pretend that the camera didn’t exist.

“When we were filming, I kept asking producers and photographers if they could turn it into mockumentary, so I started seeing cameras like Jim in the office,” the former NFL player says. “I kept doing it and they didn’t have it.

When the crew tried to film the fight between the couple, Kramer says that even though she “kept poking at him,” it didn’t go according to plan because he answered with only love and kindness, not how he acted during a typical argument.

“I felt that way and this is what we’re doing and it was fun, feeling like the cameras were here while we were doing this fight,” she says. “But if he pretends to be a saint in conversation, I’m not doing it!”

After part of the drama went down on the latest season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss still doesn’t know where her relationship stands with castmate Porsha Williams.

In a chat with host Janine Rubenstein on Thursday’s episode of the PEOPLE daily podcast, Burruss, 44, says there was “a lot of disagreement” during the recently wrapped 13th season, some of which will be discussed in the first part of Sunday’s three-part reunion.

“Everyone knows, ‘Did we have a threesome while we were traveling, or was there a threesome in the house?’ ‘She’s referring to Cynthia Bailey’s dungeon-themed bachelorette party and surrounding speculation about one or more of the cast sleeping with exotic dancer Burnuss hired for the occasion.

During the reunion, they also “talk about a lot of the drama between Porsha and Kenya Moore,” Burruss adds of their castmate, namely Williams, 39, who made the claim that “someone screwed the stripper” during the February episode.
