Real Housewives New Jersey Proud Mother

Real Housewives New Jersey Jackie Goldschneider Enjoys her Family

Celebrity Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Jackie Goldschneider revels in the holiday excitement. Family, food, festivities, and fun. They are the four factors of good living.

In a recent interview, Jackie, a proud mother, wife and parent exclaimed, “It’s a very big year for my children. Alexis and Hudson will be graduating fifth grade and going to middle school which is just unbelievable to me because I feel like they’re still babies.”

How do you feel about 2021? In that year, we didn’t have much for which to look forward. Many states were still in lockdown modes, exercising at the local gym, dining at eat-in restaurants, shopping at nearby mom and pop retail stores, and bar hopping at local pubs were activities often curtailed. But, think about it. Family is where it’s at. If 2021 didn’t show us this, I am not sure what could have.

Jackie Goldschneider, star cast member of the Housewives of New Jersey teaches us the importance of putting family first.

Real Housewives Tips for You

The Developmental Psychology Journal, Frontiers in Psychology conducted a survey of almost 250 families. The purpose of the study was to identify the factors related to healthy functioning of families during the COVID-19 epidemic. Even though the participants in the study were not high status or wealthy like the stars of the Housewives of New Jersey, much useful information can be gleamed. Here are the highlights:

  • Even though parents reported more economic stressors during the COVID-19 pandemic than before the global crisis, moms and dads observed that their kids Mothers and fathers who reported more economic stressors since the pandemic also observed that their children behaved more positively and were more helpful.
  • As expected, the stress brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic caused moms and dads to experience heightened mental health difficulties than before the global health pandemic.
  • Parents were less engaged with their children. This led to the kid’s expressing an increase in maladaptive behaviors than prior to the Coronavirus.

Jackie Goldschneider, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey provides a model for which to emulate. There appears to be evidenced-based research to support her stance.

  • Parents who maintained a bright outlook, positive mental attitude and were optimistic in spite of the chaos brought about by COVID- 19 reported feeling less depressed and stressed.
  • Mothers and fathers who routinely communicated hope for the future and high expectations of their children impacted the attitudes of their kids. It was observed that the kids of positive parents mirrored positivity by exhibiting more prosocial behaviors.

Were their any gender differences when examining the impact of COVID-19 on parenting styles? The research says, “yes.”

  • Moms and dads who adopted a co-parenting style were found to be more engaged with their children leading to more helpful behaviors of their children.
  • Elevated levels of parent positivity, cheerfulness, and enthusiasm during the pandemic served as protective factors for the mothers; meaning the moms of children experienced less mental health difficulties related to the economic stress that the pandemic induced.
  • High levels of co-parenting support during the pandemic were protective for the fathers; meaning the dads of kids experienced less mental health difficulties related to the economic stress that the pandemic induced.

So, for anyone out there in the physical world who believes or supports the notion that the celebrity lives of stars of the Real Housewives of New Jersey provide no societal value. You are wrong. Each star can serve as models for other wives, moms and daughters to aspire. As with anything, we much cull through the good and the bad to find the true gem.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa blended family

Teresa Giudice, star Real Housewives of New Jersey and Joe Giudice, ex-husband

In Season 12 of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice told her co-stars that she and her family were going to move in with her boyfriend Luis Ruelas and his family.  Teresa has four children with her former husband Joe Giudice. They are all girls: Gia, Gabriella, Audriana and Milania.  At one time or another, each of her four daughters have appeared on the Real Housewives of New Jersey tv show. Teresa was married to JoeGiudice  from 1999 to 2019. Joe has been out of the family picture as he is still being deported to Italy and has been unable to re-enter the U.S. to see his family.

As the family drama related to deportation was occurring, Teresa met Luis Ruelas. Luis has two children, David and Louie Jr with his former wife, Marisa DiMartino. Teresa Giudice just announced recently that she and Luis were going to have a blended family.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Guidice Blended Family

The Giudice and Ruelas families are not unique in this regard. The U.S. Census reports that about 16% of all children in the US live in a “blended family” situation. The term blended family implies that the family members living under one household includes a  stepparent, stepsibling or half-sibling. This figure is estimated to be higher than the 8% of children who live with a step parent and slightly higher than 12% who live with stepsiblings (step brothers and step sisters) or half siblings. Please see Pew Research Series, The American Family Today, December 17, 2015 for additional information.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Potential Stressors of Blended Family

Even though it is rather common place to be a member of a blended family or to raise your child in a blended family situation, Good Therapy identifies the following stressors.

  1. The parenting styles differ from one parent to the other,
  2. The variations of step family/biological family routines,
  3. The conflicts revolving around visitation rules,
  4. The ongoing disagreements between the separated parents and/or stepparents,
  5. The potential conflict and uncertainty surrounding new stepsiblings,
  6. The time needed for each stepsibling to adapt to the conditions of the blended family varies from child to child,
  7. The inability to let go, or to continue to hang on to expectation of maintaining strong bonds with the separated family member(s),
  8. The struggle to manage grief, feelings of abandonment, and other strong emotions during periods of separation,
  9. The demand for new parents and/or step parents to transition into a new parenting role rather quickly, and
  10. The potential for conflict related to rivalry may arise when close bonds with the separated family member is maintained.

Real Housewives Tips for You

In spite of the challenges posed by blended family relationships, these families can work out. They prove to be resilient and can last a long time, particularly with a few of these recommendations from the American Psychological Association in mind.

  1. Resolve financial and visitation arrangements prior to initiating a new living situation.
  2. Clear your heart and mind of all grievances against the former partner.
  3. Determine, prior to the initiation of a new living arrangement, the role each partner will play in child rearing.
  4. Consider developing a list of household rules: those that are negotiable and rules that are non-negotiable.
  5. Offer verbal recognition, praise, and affection as an effective and early method for establishing new relationships with stepchildren.
  6. Maintain special activities and participate in special events as the separated partner so that the child will lessen his/her feelings of grief and abandonment.
  7. Refrain from speaking ill of the separated partner in front of the children.

Considering the stressors and the recommendations to mitigate and prevent them, James Bray, PhD, a researcher and clinician at the Department of Family Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine estimates that, “under the best conditions, it may take two to four years for a new stepfamily to adjust to living together.”

RHOA Real Housewives Professional Envy

Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes stars of reality tv show Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes, castmates and celebrity stars of Real Housewives of Atlanta Bravo reality tv series seem to be experiencing bouts of professional envy. It is hard to find out who is the protagonist and who is the antagonist? The lack of a clear-cut instigator or pacifist mirrors life.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Professional Envy

The two stars of the Real Housewives of Atlanta are just like every day people. We all must maintain our professional competitiveness in a cut-throat world to keep our quality of life in tact. Kandi Burruss has ruminated that because she has a new spin off, her cast mates (NeNe Leakes) of Real Housewives of Atlanta and NeNe Leakes’ fans are envious of her professional success. She was reported as asking those who have cast shade on her success, “What did I do to you?”

Kandi fretted that other celebrity housewives and stars of the Real Housewives Bravo reality tv series went on to individual stardom like Kim Zolciak and Porsha Williams. Why not she? Kandi Burruss further explained that she pitched several spin off television show ideas to the producers. Why didn’t her naysayers do the same?

Real Housewives Tips for You

Researchers at the Harvard Business Review published an article sharing that professional envy and jealousy is not new. In fact, these feelings are universally felt when a colleague attains something for which you had wished. While these negative emotions are universal; we are consumed with guilt and try to suppress them once they rise to the surface. Unfortunately, as we attempt to bury emotions of envy and jealousy, they can resurface with greater strength causing more harm than had we been true to ourselves and owned up to our negative feelings.

Real Housewives Tips for You

A few real housewives tips, suggestions and recommendations for regular housewives as well as celebrity stars of the Real Housewives Bravo television series follow.

  • Recognize your negative thoughts and behaviors;
  • Examine exactly what act or behavior triggers your envy (self confidence, aggression, thoughtfulness, passion);
  • Seek to develop those attributes and characteristics within your self;
  • Refocus your energies on the antidote of jealousy ( admiration) and envy (goodwill);
  • Become more open to others;
  • Establish a closer relationship with your foe and seek to emulate her style or technique in the areas for which you have envied;
  • Accept and adapt to change more readily than in the past;
  • Learn from your shortcomings and or seek to develop your weakness;
  • Take the opportunity to discover the job, projects and/or activities that bring you fulfillment;
  • Affirm your positive qualities daily;
  • Switch jobs, careers, or industries for which you are better suited, if necessary.

Eventually NeNe Leakes and Kandi Burruss will resolve their differences keeping their relative celebrity star status in tact. Focus on yourself. Be your own best advocate.

And remember, as Kandi Burruss has said of her Real Housewives of Atlanta peers and colleagues, “a lot of them don’t pitch shows. A lot of them think, ‘I’m so great that Bravo should just throw a show in my lap.’ That is not what I do,” she said. “Me and my husband, we come up with these ideas, and we pitch them. Sometimes, the network is for it; sometimes they aren’t. Everything we do does not get picked up.”

RHONJ Real Housewives bills and bankruptcy

Teresa Giudice, star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reality tv series knows a little about overdue bills and bankruptcy. Court fillings in 2020 showed that Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, her former husband filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark, N.J. Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings require that the filers liquidate their assets to pay creditors for outstanding bills. Although a successful Chapter 7 bankruptcy allows the filers to make a fresh new start in life, Teresa Giudice seems to be entangled in yet another man with weak financial underpinnings.

One of the headlining stars of the Real Housewives Bravo franchise, Teresa Giudice’s fiancé, Luis Ruelas is being sued for failure to pay $113,000 in debts to a vendor that provided services to his company. Presently, Luis Relas, is filing for $1M bankruptcy.

Luis proposed to Teresa in October 2021. And she accepted his proposal of marriage. But Teresa Giudice, in spite of the promises of a fresh new start that the previous bankruptcy filing afforded her, and her divorce. Seems like the clutches of poor financial management hasn’t loosened its iron grip.

Real Housewives Atlanta share husband

The Real Housewives of Atlanta franchise has taught housewives everywhere, “Never share or attempt to share a husband of a bestie. Not even an ex-husband. Porsha Williams, one of the most popular stars of the Real Housewives Bravo franchise feuded with Kenya Moore, alleging that Kenya slept with her ex-husband Kordell Stewart.

No offense to Kordell, but most ladies know that men will be men, I mean true dogs when it comes to lust and love. And most women, celebrity real housewives included know that once you try to date the husband, ex, or boyfriend of a friend; you are labeled a bad girl forever! Kenya Moore has been perceived by many who follow the Real Housewives of Atlanta reality tv series as an evil villain.

Real Housewives Tips for You

Besties, bestfriends, frenemies the world over know that boyfriends, current husbands, ex-husbands and even one night stands and flings of girls within your inner circle are generally offlimits.

Even relationship experts who dish out advice to college students say the matter can be very tricky. It all depends upon who left whom in the relationship. Was it your bestie who broke up with her partner (leaving the door open for you to pursue a relationship). Or, was it her boyfriend who ditched her leaving your bestie’s heart broken? Maybe your friend, frenemy still yearns for a reconciliation.

Real Housewives Tips for You

Do you want to escape the fate of Kenya Moore, cast member of the Real Housewives of Atlanta? Do you want to dodge and avoid the bad girl villain role? Here are some real housewives tips for you. Relationship counselors would suggest that there are several factors to consider when determining whether your friend’s ex is on or off limits.

  • How long ago did the break-up happen? This may be commonsensical, but you can’t imagine how many lovelorn girls still carry a torch for the boyfriend that got away. If it has only been a week or two, bide your time and try to wait it out. If it has been a year or two, you could tread, but still tread lightly.
  • How long did the relationship last? If they were together for just a few weeks or months, then there may not have been enough time to establish a long-lasting bond. However, if they were childhood friends, a campus couple, and adult lovers, no matter how much you like this guy; your friend’s bond with him consists of a storehouse of memories that may be hard to break and/or withstand.
  • If it was your friend who did the ‘breaking up’, then the door is wide open. Go ahead run through it, as it is considered more socially acceptable you to date your bestie’s old flame. They do suggest, however, that you should (in all fairness) casually mention her ex and gently ask if she thinks it is a good idea.
  • If your friend is already in a new relationship, go ahead girl. Take a shot at her old man. No one could be the wiser.
  • If it was your friend who got dumped instead of being the dumper, then a huge can of worms is introduced. Your bestie may experience tendencies bordering on paranoia. She may falsely accuse you of being the source of their break-up. You may lose your friend altogether, as she might begin to internalize her rejection with your success. Finally, at every turn, she might attempt to surreptitiously undermine your relationship with your ex. So in the end you may lose a bestie and a boyfriend. Think twice. Who needs the trouble?

Real Housewives Tips for You

Looking back to Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore, cast mates of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Bravo reality tv series. Their relationship did not survive the sharing of an ex-husband. Fans of the Real Housewives of Atlanta noticed that the only time the two got along was when they birthed their daughters. In the end, their conflict from the feuding about Porsha’s husband may last longer than any one girl’s relationship with Kordell Stewart.

The Real Housewives is an American TV Series

The Real Housewives was first announced as one of six reality TV series ordered by American TV channel Bravo in May 2005.

Inspiration

It is inspired by the scripted soap opera Desperate Housewives and Peyton Place and documents the lives of upper-class women who “live glamorous lives in picturesque Southern California gated communities where the average home has a $1.6 million price tag and residents include CEOs and retired professional athletes.”

Real Housewives of Orange County- It’s just Beginning

The series was announced as the Real Housewives of Orange County in January 2006 and premiered on March 21 of the same year.

Real Housewives of New York City

In September 2007, Bravo began production on the series Manhattan Moms, which “follows an eclectic group of Gotham socialists and their families.” The series was later renamed as The Real Housewives of New York City in January 2008, serving  as the first spinoff from the Real Housewives franchise. It premiered on March 4, 2008.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

The second spinoff, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was announced in June and premiered on October 7.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

The third spinoff The Real Housewives of New Jersey was mentioned in May 2008 before the confirmation of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It then premiered on May 12, 2009. The Real Housewives of DC was announced in October 2009. It premiered on August 5, 2010, and ended on October 21, 2010 after one season. It gained notoriety as the only Real Housewives franchise to be canceled.  The cancelation was largely due to the public outcry resulting from one of the housewives,  Michaele Salahi and her husband crashed an official White House function (without an invitation).

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was announced in March 2010 and premiered on October 14, 2010. In March 2010, Bravo ordered a series titled Miami Social Club. The series was later re-titled The Real Housewives of Miami. It premiered on February 22, 2011 and ended on November 4, 2013 for the first time in three seasons.

The Real Housewives of Potomac

In November 2015, Bravo announced two new Real Housewives series, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Dallas. Before it was announced, The Real Housewives of Potomac was first titled Potomac Ensemble during early production. It premiered on January 17, 2016.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

The Real Housewives of Dallas was originally titled Dallas Woman during its early production, but a potential spin-off series to Ladies of London. The series premiered on April 11, 2016.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

In November 2019, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was announced. It premiered on November 11, 2020.

The Real Housewives of Miami

That same month, Andy Cohen, executive producer of Bravo’s Real Housewives series, confirmed that he was trying to get streaming service Peacock to welcome The Real Housewives of Miami for a fourth season. In February 2021, it was confirmed that The Real Housewives of Miami would reboot on Peacock.

The Real Housewives: the Future

On December 2, 2016, Cohen spoke about the future of the franchise and said it could be set in Nashville, Tennessee, if there is a new insanity in the franchise. Cohen also said the All-Star version will as the franchise’s ultimate goal as ratings begin to go down. He added that eight housewives with “big personalities” from each series on the island are likely to feature together. In December 2016, in an interview with Harry Connick Jr., Cohen said he was looking for a city with a strong personality and agreed that New Orleans would fit that standard.

The producer and Andy Cohen appeared in Chicago, Greenwich, San Francisco and Houston, but did not pursue them.

The Real Housewives and Criticism

The reality series has been criticized for promoting consumerism through programming. It is also seen as perpetuating gender stereotypes by highlighting women more as shoppers than career women. Their lavish lifestyle also contributes to the misconception that financial wealth equals happiness. [Citation needed] feminist leader Gloria Steinem has vociferously criticized the “Housewives” franchise for “giving women rich, spoiled, dependent and hateful each other.” Steinem summed up her distaste for the show in 2013:

‘It’s an incredible amount of money spent, being a woman, not getting along with each other with all the dress-ups and inflatables, plastic surgery and fake boredom.’ Fight each other. It is a minstrel show for women. I don’t believe it, I must say. I feel like they’ve been manufactured, that the fights between them are going to be manufactured and they’re supposed to chase each other in a kind of conflicting way.

The New York Times published an article in October 2019 criticizing how the cast of the different Housewives franchises are “separated” by their skin color. Author Tracy Egan Morrissey points to  Potomac and Atlanta for an almost entirely African-American cast, while other iterations (Beverly Hills, Orange County, Dallas, New York and New Jersey) are overwhelmingly white, with few women of color. The Real Housewives of New York didn’t have an African-American cast until 2021, but in 2019 she joined Dallas with Carly Brittingham, having become the show’s first Hispanic cast member. Beverly Hills featured a “racially homogeneous cast throughout its run” until the addition of Garcell Beauvais in 2019, with the exception of Joyce Girot in Season 4.

House Wives and Affiliate Marketing

The Real Housewives is a reality TV series that has followed a cast of women in metropolitan locales around America since 2006, focusing on their rich lifestyles. The Reunion Show brings together cast members, discusses previous season episodes, discusses what happened about unresolved ׳ issues, and provides space to confront each other. Since disclosure is prescriptive in the context of reunions, the casting of topics as “taboos” for discussion is interactingly pronounced and productive. My analysis shows that topic avoidance is caused not by a set of categorically taboo topics, but by topics that temporarily threaten housewives׳ the enactment of culturally elite identities. Evasion helps protect a practically endea graced (status and well-received) public image with classes. I identify and example three different avoidance stances where participants are placed in different roles. These stances work to limit the discussion of threat-threatening information to their own material status׳ preserve their image as “classy׳ and introduce threatening information about other ׳ statuses and classes. After all, the evasive stance is a way of negotiating the tension between housewives appearing on reality TV shows that require openness and disclosure, and being valued as a cultural elite that requires restraint of behavior about stories about the self and others.

Many housewives around the world are at home to see how they can help their families by bringing in extra income. I’ve told a lot of housewives, the desire to make money but doesn’t know how to go about it. At first, they seem confused and I don’t think you can actually make real money online, so I’ll explain step by step how they make tons of money on the internet.

After explaining what they needed to do to make money, they were completely shocked. The reason they were completely shocked is that many people still believe that making money on the internet is fake. People all over the world are missing out on big money because they are not maximizing the potential that the internet has. Many people miss out on opportunities to make an online profit simply because they have no time at all. So, the wife of the house has no time to spare, this is perfect for you.

The great thing about affiliate marketing is that everyone can make money from affiliate marketing. It could be an old granny, a teenager, etc. All you need is a desire to make money and I know for a lot of housewives the fact that they really want to create an extra source of income.

What affiliate marketing can do for you

Affiliate marketing allows you to create a separate revenue stream. You may be making money somewhere else, but you can always rely on your affiliate marketing revenue stream to support you or help take you to that next level. I know a lot of single mothers, but I don’t have time at all to rely on affiliate marketing and make a complete living from it.

Some people may already have a job and just want to make some money on the side, but affiliate marketing is still the answer. You can spend an hour a day on it, and you can easily earn hundreds of dollars a month, depending on how seriously you take it.

House Wives Vs The Great American Bail Out

While watching some of the sound bites they allow you to see, I have seen two common threads of fact while watching the great American bank robbers. The first one is the congressional committees, which I like to call the “getaway drivers” mainly due to the fact that they are now working on giving my future great grandchildren money. Now, I ask you, how is that for success on their part? But these lawyers can’t possibly do this on their own, without the help of their accomplices, dumbing down, doping up the American public who continue to vote them back into office again. The next general thread I see is on beggars and they are always men. Real men, by the way, real men in the truest sense of the word, because real men never ask for direction, never ask for anything, they work hard when times get tough. These are men in name only, and despite their small stature, they have the right plumbing. One thing that they have in common among them is that they have a huge set of megaliths on their fruits of loom and they always show up with $5000. The beggar’s suit.

So far, two different types of begging strategies have been used, first used by the international banking cartel on Wall Street. Now, obviously, this method worked really well and not only did they get my wealth and the wealth of my children, they walked away with more than half of my grandchildren’s wealth as well. And to show their appreciation, they threw lavish parties, went on expensive vacations, and more golden parachutes never showed up like this throughout their landing on Normandy Beach during World War II. They simply said you give us this money or they will have chickens, cows and pigs flying through the air because of earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes, it all hits the fan! Congress confronted them, bent down and said ok, here goes, can I help you carry it in an armored car? The banker simply said no, but the next time you return to town, you can offer that service again.

The next begging technique was obviously flawed. Yes, they fly in private corporate jets and they are all $5000. suit, but these are people who are simply trying to get away with the car and get a piece of that action. This obviously did not go over well with Congress, so they sent them home telling them they needed a better ransom note than that to get over. So these suits went back to Detroit to have a meeting about what color crayons they should use for the next note.

If Sarah Palin had been on that congressional committee, she would have settled down and dressed for at least $10.50. One day the suits tanned their lairs and made comfortable bedroom slippers out of them. Was it because she was a Republican running for Vice President? No, it actually made her breathless as she was shaken by an old man who had forgotten why he was running for any office and which party he was running for for a while. Was it because she was a politician? No, every time she speaks, she’s not a politician. It’s because she is a housewife! A housewife with children, no less! So, this only qualifies her to deal professionally with politicians and men, hell, you won’t have any more anger when you try and check off b.s. or one of these types! Ask us how we know so much.

So, if we are really serious about fixing what is wrong with our country, I say we vote out all politicians and vote in housewives all over the United States. Their first week in office will have giraffes’ deep honey dewy asses. Things will be done soon or they will be done next week with starch in your shorts, you can best be sure. So, getting your American job back will never be a problem. And as long as you do not pull your weight around here or go to your room without dinner, there is no welfare for you. For the first time in history Congress will have a budget and be bound by it, just visualize men with $5000 to laugh at. Come to ask for things, a bunch of housewives and suits that have to be depressed! Ha! When they were done with them, they would rather have tried to push a stick of butter up the lion’s ass with a hot poker in the phone booth! I could just hear it now, “Try and take my kid’s piggy bank, will you threes a bag? If you buy us all the dresses we’ve seen in vogue and give us 700 billion, we might just let you walk out of here with your ass intact! What about threats?

The Real Housewives Versus Reality

The recent Season 12 reunion of “The Real Housewives of New York City” was a strange affair: since March, Andy Cohen, who has endured zoom reunions for Bravo shows like “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” After enduring zooming reunions for Bravo shows like “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Vanderpump Rules” and “Summer House,” Andy Cohen finally brought the women together. It was a small return to normalcy, even if, in the midst of the impending economic crisis, they had to sit six feet apart and cover the vast space between them with enough rug to keep Empire from going into the red. But before Tinsley Mortimer could finally berate Dorinda Medley, before Ramona Singer could apologize for everything she’d ever done, before Sonja Morgan could repeat, “We’re all going to die, but you can catch a nice dick while you’re at it. But first, everyone had to fight for ten minutes about COVID.

On a recent Instagram Live by Leah McSweeney, the latest apple holder, Cohen wrote, “I was having a great time during my quarantine in Florida and then …… I’m back in New York and I’m not taking this shit seriously: …. Bringing up her criticism of the “fuck yous” and the performers, she clearly directed her comments at Ramona, the only housewife who had survived the worst of the segregation in the South. Dorinda was also upset with Ramona, but this was already unfolding on social media, as just a few days before Guilfoyle tested positive for the virus, Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle attended a Hamptons Republican It was revealed that Ramona had been a guest at a fundraiser attended by Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle. In a decidedly political turn of phrase, Dorinda said that Ramona was hanging around Mar-a-Lago and not worried about the virus.

This argument was followed by Leah and Dorinda criticizing Ramona’s behavior, saying, “I didn’t have the virus. I didn’t have the virus,” “I don’t wear a mask in the ocean. I don’t wear a mask in the ocean,” she said in the affected tone of a five-year-old, pretending as if she hadn’t done anything terrible. It was the same kind of reality as watching my aunt and her high school classmates interacting on Facebook.

What made this part of the reunion strange and upsetting wasn’t the fact that the housewives were fighting. We’re used to it and welcome it like Kim Zolciak-Biermann welcomes lip fillers. That’s not to say that the housewives were fighting over who was assigned what room during the vacations, or whether someone deserved an apology. Now, all of a sudden, they’re fighting about things that really matter.

It’s a strange time for the Housewives series, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary this March. It became a cultural phenomenon because we loved to watch awful rich (sort of) people behave awfully. It was escapism. It was also a way to feel better about their lives. Sure, they may have been monsters, but they were our monsters. But will our monsters ever get over this particular cultural moment?

The battle of the RHONY reunion COVID reveals two major problems that Housewives, along with much of reality television, are staring at right now: the first is one of the reasons why Kardashians failed; the second is that we have no idea what to do about it. Reality shows take a very long time to get to us. We’ve already seen the battles being waged in the press and on social media long before they appear on our TV screens: on Twitter and Instagram, and perhaps on Pinterest and Grindr, where women and gays who love housewives congregate, by their ardent fans. How can this battle feel fresh when it’s already being analyzed?

Another problem is that the reality of COVID life has begun to invade the franchise, and our escapism is no longer escapism. The time lag in production is a blessing in disguise in this regard. During our confinement, we ate episodes that were filmed in a blissful time when no one knew what the R number meant. (Are we sure it’s not the number of a woman with the last name Richard in one episode of RHOBH?) Sure, we were cooped up in the house, but at least we had this to watch and heal us in between tumbles of fate. Now it’s coming to an end, and I don’t think any of us are ready for it.

According to the trailer, the vision of the future of reality TV is not a very good one. The trailer begins with the usual housewives debacle, but reveals that this season will eventually coincide with the start of incarceration. Producers tell the women to sit six feet away from each other, Kelly Dodd wears a mask with a zipper as if she believes masks don’t work, Shannon Bieder cries, “People don’t follow my rules,” and she breathes into what looks like a respirator! or breathing into some kind of breathing apparatus.

In particular, Shannon Storms Bieder is a woman so concerned about her health that she once had an enema shoved into her back. And these episodes appear just as we are on our way.

Even the upcoming “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is shockingly more diverse than dinosaurs like RHOC and RHONY. Can a city with a white Mormon faith and a reputation as the home of Mitt Romney’s clones have more people of color than New York or Los Angeles?

How can they make a movie when most restaurants are closed, families are kept separately, and public events are harder than covering your face at Trump rallies? But given that you’ve checked your bingo card for 2020, things are different now. Without political conflicts, public protests and pandemics, our favorite fearsome women could have been free to keep doing bad things forever. But now that more and more fans are held accountable to public officials for what they say and do on camera and in their personal lives, reality stars who grew up in aty will find a way to respond or, as Bravo has told us for years, the only way to find out is to “see what happens.”

The Real Housewives Exodus Continues

If you don’t watch reality TV, chances are you haven’t been exposed to the infamous ‘Real Housewives’ series that has taken the world by storm, and that’s probably a good thing: since the first show in 2006 established the formula of following the daily dramas of wealthy white women in Orange County, California. Since establishing the formula of following the day-to-day drama of a wealthy white woman, it has been repeated in different cities, including Melbourne and Miami, Cheshire and Budapest, Sydney and Johannesburg.

There’s also “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” says Brian Moylan, a pop culture writer and the series’ compiler, happily.” No one knows about Potomac, but they do know that there is a Real Housewives franchise”.

Housewives around the world fit a certain mold: wealthy, often (but not always) white, straight, attractive, and over 30. But the cities they live in vary widely, and fans of the series say that even though Real Housewives has become a global cultural centre, the differences haven’t been completely ironed out.

With prosthetic legs used as weapons and medical records falsified to prove a cancer diagnosis, it wouldn’t be fair to say that cities are the real stars of the show. But the intangibles of Auckland and Athens – their personalities, cultures and measures of success – are reflected in their respective programmes.

Camille Paglia, a scholar, cultural critic and “big fan” of the show, likens it to a post-war Hollywood romance film: “It’s not just that it’s a great show, it’s that it’s a great show. Camille Paglia, a ‘big fan’ of the show, likens it to a post-war Hollywood rom-com: “‘The Real Housewives’ is rich in geographical locale and ethos. The Real Housewives of New Jersey, for example, focuses on the family, which Paglia says accurately represents “a stratum of Italian life in New Jersey that didn’t work as well in The Sopranos.

By comparison, New York housewives are mostly single and pay more attention to their careers than their love lives. In Dallas, attention is paid to the social contributions of the performers, especially at the regular benefit functions, which are sometimes converted into monetary benefits. On the other side of the globe, The Real Housewives of Auckland reflects the relative lack of truly exclusive establishments in this city of 1.7 million people. It’s very Auckland,” says Duncan Grave of New Zealand pop culture website The Spinoff. He describes it as “an upmarket, unaffordable lifestyle” where “any redneck can book a table hours in advance and a main course costs about twice as much as the nearest food court.

“Of course, that’s why it was so endearing to the people who live here,” adds Greive.” It showed that the housewives were very real, with world class drama”.

“Each series is completely unique,” says author and journalist Elizabeth Day, “and each city is completely unique.” They kind of make the city a special character”. For example, ‘The Real Housewives of DC’ was cancelled because a couple of the actors broke into a dinner party hosted by Barack Obama at the White House with a camera.” It was a massive security issue,” Day says with a laugh.” It’s a particular reflection of The Real Housewives in one city.

Atlanta, Georgia, was the first city chosen by the producers to expand the show from Orange County 10 years ago, because of its wealthy African-American population.” Executive producer Andy Cohen told Atlanta magazine in 2009, “It was unlike any other city on television.

Steve Fennessy, executive editor of Atlanta magazine, says the show’s cast reflects a narrow segment of Atlanta’s adult population. In other words, these are people who aren’t ‘adult’ enough to be on the show.” White people in America outside of Georgia, or at least the South, don’t know how rich some of the black people in Atlanta are,” he says.” That said, the whole franchise is rubbish, so I don’t think it’s something that would make the cover of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s annual report”.

Now entering its eleventh season, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” quickly gained a reputation as one of the most vulgar high dramas of its format, and was considered by many to be an insult to the city’s predominantly black upper class. 2009’s Atlanta magazine reported that the most common complaint about “Trashionistas” in its first year was:” They don’t represent Atlanta. They don’t represent Atlanta! They don’t even live in Atlanta! That was it. Most of the stars live in the outermost suburbs, where the old money lives,” one fan tweeted on Reddit.” What is this, The Real Almost Married Women of Metro-Atlanta!”)

In the series, Cohen says Atlanta is an “integrated city” and “a place where our country could be anywhere. It is not clear, however, that this was actually the case. Residents at the time were sceptical, but a recent analysis shows that Atlanta has overtaken Miami as the most populous city in the USA.

As black women have become better (though still not fully) represented in popular culture, and feminists have sued for the franchise (by Paglia, Roxane Gay and others), Atlantic Housewives have been freed from the burden of representation. And that’s true for the city of Atlanta.” A lot of shows have been filmed in Atlanta, including FX’s Atlanta and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, but over time they’re no longer considered representative of the city in any sense of the word,” said Rodney Ho, a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a daily newspaper. reporter Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.” Now it’s just a reality show that showcases Atlanta’s great restaurants and boutiques,” he says.

But fans know not to expect realism from a reality show. Not least because there is more than one truth to be told about a city.” Australian writer Amy Gray says: “The ‘Real Housewives’ franchise is built on the unholy nexus of urban stereotypes and money, and that’s why we watch it. According to her, the rivalry between Australia’s two largest cities is mirrored in The Real Housewives. Melbourne is positioned as a South Pacific city with European preconceptions, including a heavy use of tram cuts, while Harbour City is a beachside city with a botoxed swagger. According to Mr Gray, the lack of venom in The Real Housewives of Sydney was “very painful to watch” and it was subsequently not updated because it was “too radical”.
