Real Housewives of New York City De Lesseps in recovery

Leann de Lesseps provides insight on Real Housewives of NYC

Luann de Lesseps, celebrity reality tv star of Real Housewives of New York City admits that she is a recovering alcoholic. Unfortunately, an embarrassing incident at a gay bar led to her admission. It was reported by the New York Post that during a karaoke session, she grabbed the microphone and started to belch out cabaret songs.

This isn’t the first time that the featured cast member of the Real Housewives of New York City humiliated herself in public. A few years ago, Luann De Lesseps, also known as “the Countess” was arrested on Christmas Eve while in Palm Beach, Florida. The police charged her with disorderly intoxication, battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence, and threatening a public servant.

You don’t have to be a member of the Real Housewives franchise, family of De Lesseps, or a rich and famous celebrity tv star to sympathize with Luann De Lesseps. Or cringe at the thought of what her closest friends and family is going through. Many of us have been there.

We’ve had to make excuses for family members who have succumbed to the temporary highs of alcohol, illicit drugs, and prescription pain killers. Many have attempted interventions and sought to pressure abusers to seek medical attention and to convince those who are still in denial. It looks as though Luann De Lesseps has come a long way and may recover yet.

As Luann De Lesseps said herself, “while I’ve made great strides over the years, there’s been times I’ve fallen. It’s one day at a time!” Interested in real housewives tips you can use to help a member in your family who has been enticed by substances to abuse them? Please read below

Developed as the second installment of the Real Housewives franchise, it airs 12 seasons and focuses on the personal and professional lives of women residing in New York City.

Cindy Barshop replaced Frankel for the show’s fourth season, which premiered April 7, 2011. After the fourth season, McCauld, Zarin, Kiroren Bensimon and Barshop were effectively let go of the show.

Season 5 – 8

In April 2012, Bravo announced a revamp into the cast for a fifth season, integrating Aviva Dresser, Carol Radziwill and Heather Thomson into the main cast. The season premiered on June 4, 2012. Production for the sixth season was scheduled to begin on May 8, 2013, but instead the cast chose to enter salary negotiations with Bravo, effectively delaying filming. Drescher, Morgan, Radziwill, Singer and Thomson renewed their contracts in May 2013, while De Reseps was relegated to recurring roles. The sixth season premiered on March 11, 2014, a year behind schedule with Kristen Techman as the newest housewife. Drescher was released after the sixth season.

The seventh season premiered on April 7, 2015, with frankel’s return and the addition of Dorinda Medley, while De Reseps returned full-time. Techman and Thomson ended the series after the season ended. In the eighth season, which premiered on April 6, 2016, Jules Weinstein joined the cast, Thomson returned with a guest appearance, and Techman did not return. Weinstein left the show in September 2016 for personal reasons.

Season 9-12

The ninth season premiered on April 5, 2017. Tinsley Mortimer appeared, while former housewives Thomson and Zarin appeared as guests. The 10th season premiered on April 4, 2018, with the return of the cast for the ninth season. Thomson and Zarin both appeared as guests. It served as Radziwill’s last appearance on the show.

The 11th season premiered on March 6, 2019. Barbara Cavovitt joined as a friend of the housewife, while Zarin appeared as a guest. Frankel left the series for the second time after the season. Mortimer and Medley announced their withdrawal from the series in June 2020 and August 2020, respectively. Mortimer matched her announcement with a move to Chicago to pursue a romantic relationship with Scott Kruse, and Medley later said she was fired from the show.

Season 13

The 13th season is scheduled to premiere May 4, 2021, with Eboni K. Williams scheduled to join the series. While Thomson and The Barshan Show appear as housewives’ friends.

Important receptions

The Real Housewives of New York City has been criticized for its lack of diversity in its cast. Later, current cast member Frankel said he hopes the series will “represent New York more” in 2017. Writing for The New York Times in October 2019, author Tracy Egan Morrissey each asked the question, “If less than half of the city is white, why is 100% of the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City white?” Former cast member Thomson also said that during her time on the series, she threw several women of color to the show’s producers to diversify its cast members because of her concerns about the issue.

PageSix.com:

“Real Housewives” star Dorinda Medley has been taking a break from longtime love and dry-cleaning connoisseur John Mahdessian, Page Six has learned. Medley has been spotted all over town sans her man, sparking buzz they split.

“They’re starting to live separate lives,” a source told us. “He’ll attend the opening of an envelope, and she goes out for work, but she’s really low-key. He’s all about being the guy on the town since she’s been on the show.”

Another source told us, “It’s complicated. They’ve been together seven years and just hit a rough patch. They’re working through some things.”

Medley was recently spotted at the James Beard House-hosted dinner from Plant Miami and Rudd Estate wines.

A Bravo rep did not comment on Medley.

Carole Radziwill Shares Her Secret On Romancing a 29-Year-Old

carolemain-1445337

PageSix.com:

Space is what keeps Carole Radziwill‘s relationship alive.

“I find that when Adam [Kenworthy] and I spend a lot of time together, but when we don’t see each other for a weekend or one or two days, and then we see each other again, it kind of rekindles that original feeling we had when we first met,” the “Real Housewives of New York” star told Page Six at SPiN on Wednesday.

“I don’t mean that in a bad way, I think it’s important to have separate but equal lives,” she added.

Radziwill, 52, who met the 29-year-old chef in the kitchen of cast mate Luann de Lesseps‘ Sag Harbor home last season, became a target of gossip as Kenworthy once dated the niece of the Countess. And while the May-December romance soured Radziwill’s friendship with de Lesseps, 50, the bride-to-be revealed the former pals have moved forward.

“We are in a better place,” de Lesseps shared Monday. “We’ve had our issues for sure, so I’m glad to see that we’re in a better place.”

DailyMail.com:

Kelly Bensimon has revealed that her two-year struggle with postpartum depression left her so anxiety-ridden that she was terrified to be left alone with her daughter.
The 48-year-old, who gave birth to her first child Sea Louise in 1998, explained in the newest installment of People Mom Talk that she struggled with postpartum depression on and off for two years until she became pregnant with her second daughter, Thaddeus Ann, who was born in 2000.
‘I had postpartum really badly — like really bad,’ she recalled. ‘I mean I couldn’t drive. I had so much anxiety. I didn’t want to be by myself.’
The former Real Housewives of New York star went on to say her struggle was exacerbated by the absence of her then-husband, renowned fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon.
Kelly was the third wife of the famous photographer, who was also the first husband of supermodel Elle Macpherson. The former couple divorced in 2007 after ten years of marriage.
‘Like I literally gave birth to a child and my ex-husband just left and went traveling and I was this child by myself,’ she said. ‘I was so young, and none of my friends had kids.
‘I was petrified. I loved her so much but I was literally petrified. I couldn’t drive. It was really, really bad.’
