The Real Housewives is an American TV Series

The Real Housewives was first announced as one of six reality TV series ordered by American TV channel Bravo in May 2005.

Inspiration

It is inspired by the scripted soap opera Desperate Housewives and Peyton Place and documents the lives of upper-class women who “live glamorous lives in picturesque Southern California gated communities where the average home has a $1.6 million price tag and residents include CEOs and retired professional athletes.”

Real Housewives of Orange County- It’s just Beginning

The series was announced as the Real Housewives of Orange County in January 2006 and premiered on March 21 of the same year.

Real Housewives of New York City

In September 2007, Bravo began production on the series Manhattan Moms, which “follows an eclectic group of Gotham socialists and their families.” The series was later renamed as The Real Housewives of New York City in January 2008, serving  as the first spinoff from the Real Housewives franchise. It premiered on March 4, 2008.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

The second spinoff, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was announced in June and premiered on October 7.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

The third spinoff The Real Housewives of New Jersey was mentioned in May 2008 before the confirmation of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It then premiered on May 12, 2009. The Real Housewives of DC was announced in October 2009. It premiered on August 5, 2010, and ended on October 21, 2010 after one season. It gained notoriety as the only Real Housewives franchise to be canceled.  The cancelation was largely due to the public outcry resulting from one of the housewives,  Michaele Salahi and her husband crashed an official White House function (without an invitation).

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was announced in March 2010 and premiered on October 14, 2010. In March 2010, Bravo ordered a series titled Miami Social Club. The series was later re-titled The Real Housewives of Miami. It premiered on February 22, 2011 and ended on November 4, 2013 for the first time in three seasons.

The Real Housewives of Potomac

In November 2015, Bravo announced two new Real Housewives series, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Dallas. Before it was announced, The Real Housewives of Potomac was first titled Potomac Ensemble during early production. It premiered on January 17, 2016.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

The Real Housewives of Dallas was originally titled Dallas Woman during its early production, but a potential spin-off series to Ladies of London. The series premiered on April 11, 2016.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City

In November 2019, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was announced. It premiered on November 11, 2020.

The Real Housewives of Miami

That same month, Andy Cohen, executive producer of Bravo’s Real Housewives series, confirmed that he was trying to get streaming service Peacock to welcome The Real Housewives of Miami for a fourth season. In February 2021, it was confirmed that The Real Housewives of Miami would reboot on Peacock.

The Real Housewives: the Future

On December 2, 2016, Cohen spoke about the future of the franchise and said it could be set in Nashville, Tennessee, if there is a new insanity in the franchise. Cohen also said the All-Star version will as the franchise’s ultimate goal as ratings begin to go down. He added that eight housewives with “big personalities” from each series on the island are likely to feature together. In December 2016, in an interview with Harry Connick Jr., Cohen said he was looking for a city with a strong personality and agreed that New Orleans would fit that standard.

The producer and Andy Cohen appeared in Chicago, Greenwich, San Francisco and Houston, but did not pursue them.

The Real Housewives and Criticism

The reality series has been criticized for promoting consumerism through programming. It is also seen as perpetuating gender stereotypes by highlighting women more as shoppers than career women. Their lavish lifestyle also contributes to the misconception that financial wealth equals happiness. [Citation needed] feminist leader Gloria Steinem has vociferously criticized the “Housewives” franchise for “giving women rich, spoiled, dependent and hateful each other.” Steinem summed up her distaste for the show in 2013:

‘It’s an incredible amount of money spent, being a woman, not getting along with each other with all the dress-ups and inflatables, plastic surgery and fake boredom.’ Fight each other. It is a minstrel show for women. I don’t believe it, I must say. I feel like they’ve been manufactured, that the fights between them are going to be manufactured and they’re supposed to chase each other in a kind of conflicting way.

The New York Times published an article in October 2019 criticizing how the cast of the different Housewives franchises are “separated” by their skin color. Author Tracy Egan Morrissey points to  Potomac and Atlanta for an almost entirely African-American cast, while other iterations (Beverly Hills, Orange County, Dallas, New York and New Jersey) are overwhelmingly white, with few women of color. The Real Housewives of New York didn’t have an African-American cast until 2021, but in 2019 she joined Dallas with Carly Brittingham, having become the show’s first Hispanic cast member. Beverly Hills featured a “racially homogeneous cast throughout its run” until the addition of Garcell Beauvais in 2019, with the exception of Joyce Girot in Season 4.

House Wives and Affiliate Marketing

The Real Housewives is a reality TV series that has followed a cast of women in metropolitan locales around America since 2006, focusing on their rich lifestyles. The Reunion Show brings together cast members, discusses previous season episodes, discusses what happened about unresolved ׳ issues, and provides space to confront each other. Since disclosure is prescriptive in the context of reunions, the casting of topics as “taboos” for discussion is interactingly pronounced and productive. My analysis shows that topic avoidance is caused not by a set of categorically taboo topics, but by topics that temporarily threaten housewives׳ the enactment of culturally elite identities. Evasion helps protect a practically endea graced (status and well-received) public image with classes. I identify and example three different avoidance stances where participants are placed in different roles. These stances work to limit the discussion of threat-threatening information to their own material status׳ preserve their image as “classy׳ and introduce threatening information about other ׳ statuses and classes. After all, the evasive stance is a way of negotiating the tension between housewives appearing on reality TV shows that require openness and disclosure, and being valued as a cultural elite that requires restraint of behavior about stories about the self and others.

Many housewives around the world are at home to see how they can help their families by bringing in extra income. I’ve told a lot of housewives, the desire to make money but doesn’t know how to go about it. At first, they seem confused and I don’t think you can actually make real money online, so I’ll explain step by step how they make tons of money on the internet.

After explaining what they needed to do to make money, they were completely shocked. The reason they were completely shocked is that many people still believe that making money on the internet is fake. People all over the world are missing out on big money because they are not maximizing the potential that the internet has. Many people miss out on opportunities to make an online profit simply because they have no time at all. So, the wife of the house has no time to spare, this is perfect for you.

The great thing about affiliate marketing is that everyone can make money from affiliate marketing. It could be an old granny, a teenager, etc. All you need is a desire to make money and I know for a lot of housewives the fact that they really want to create an extra source of income.

What affiliate marketing can do for you

Affiliate marketing allows you to create a separate revenue stream. You may be making money somewhere else, but you can always rely on your affiliate marketing revenue stream to support you or help take you to that next level. I know a lot of single mothers, but I don’t have time at all to rely on affiliate marketing and make a complete living from it.

Some people may already have a job and just want to make some money on the side, but affiliate marketing is still the answer. You can spend an hour a day on it, and you can easily earn hundreds of dollars a month, depending on how seriously you take it.

Real Housewives Tiffany Hendra Talks Empowering Women

Tiffany Hendra encourages women to live the most authentic, healthy, purposely and brave lives. She graduated from a women’s empowerment company with a wife, talent, empowerment ™, youtube channel creator and coaching sanctuary. But Tiffany didn’t always live a deliberate and empowered life. As a young woman, she experienced bullying, physical abuse and sexual assault, spiraling her into a dark life of self-destruction and drug/alcohol abuse. In 2002, Tiffany hit rock bottom and met God on the bathroom floor in West Hollywood. This was the beginning of a long spiritual journey that transformed her confusion into her message. The healing and reprogramming of the negative belief system has triggered a passion to help women around the world do the same. She found her purpose or her purpose found her.

In 2014, after living and working in Los Angeles for more than 16 years, Tiffany and her houbby, Australian singer-songwriter Aaron Hendra took a leap of faith and moved to Tiff’s home state of Texas. This opened the door for a once-in-a-life opportunity for Tiffany to be inducted into bravo housewife taste as a Season 1 cast member of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Tiffany claims the experience was the hardest and most rewarding thing she has done in her career. “RHOD pushed me beyond my comfort zone and forced me to take a deep look at myself and my value system. I got a stronger sense of self from it, so I’m grateful for the intense struggle of being under the microscope. In addition, it has given me laser clarity on my mission to empower women and help them discover a stronger sense of who they are and what their path of destiny is!

Our mission is to help women regain strength, find voices, develop courage, use gifts, and live freely by loving themselves, including one-on-one coaching, workshops, online courses, and TV appearances.

It’s great, so let’s delve a little deeper into the story – it’s an easy path overall, otherwise what were the challenges you had to overcome?

My journey wasn’t an easy road and I wouldn’t have it any other way! As a child, I loved group activities like cheerleading, sports and school plays while being stubborn yet sensitive, leader yet very empathetic, creative yet super-organized, intestive. I can say that I was a walking contradiction, so I think it caused me to second guess myself and compare myself to others. The struggle began in middle school from the second half of elementary school with my identity and sense of self, on a deeper level. I dealt with racial bullying even though I lived in a racially diverse town outside Houston, Texas, because I was a mixed ancestor of Japan and Europe. It wasn’t until my mid-20s that I became a successful international model that I began to accept and appreciate my mixed look, which was a bonus for the fashion world.

But the biggest struggle I had to overcome was rapping at 16. From the age of 16 to 31, I buried this secret and didn’t tell my soul. The secret was slowly killed and that’s exactly what it was doing to me. Throughout the 20s, I seemed to have an impressive career travelling the world, but internally I lived in embarrassment. I was on the road to slow suicide with drugs, alcohol, overwork, eating disorders, RX drugs, dating toxic men and indiscriminate behavior. And God met me on that bathroom floor and the trajectory of my life changed.

Again, I am grateful for all the hardships they have given me the strength and clarity of my life’s work!

Now, let’s talk about business. What is the Sanctuary of Style ™ Coaching Sanctuary?

My brand and business consists of many aspects, starting with blogs and YouTube channels, style sanctuaries and to enrich women’s lives in the areas of beauty, style, health/wellness and spiritual growth. Now he has graduated to an empowerment company called 1:1 ™ a coaching sanctuary specializing in spiritual empowerment life coaching. The strategy of my coaching business was founded by helping women re-align with high power and develop their spirits first. That’s where the true and lasting transformation takes place! I also lead mission-led entreplement women to develop their voices and enhance their brand with the power of video, as I did on YouTube in style sanctuaries.

It’s also what I’m most proud of, that I know at a close that my company is a typical life coaching company. It is a disconnect from God and her own psy spirit when women are “blocked,” do not love themselves, live in embarrassment and are afraid to use their voices or make themselves visible. Just like me!

The current project is:

After helping some Sanctuary of Style viewers fight cancer with confidence in losing their hair after receiving chemos, I’m launching a fashion line in my name, starting with my signature accessory, a headscarf. Many women love this look, but it’s hard to style it themself, so I’ve designed a scarf that gives them this chic look without hassle. The mission behind this line is to support several women’s organizations locally and around the world by donating a portion of their annual turnover from breast cancer, addiction, eating disorders, abuse and sexual trafficking, and partnering with these charities to raise funds and awareness. Scarves are available online at tiffanyhendra.com.

I partnered with a team of like-for-like women to host a “Rock the Camera VIP” workshop to empower women in the areas of camera presence, speaking, make-up and wardrobe held at a world-class studio in Dallas, on-air media. The team consists of executive producer and founder of on-air media Melissa Plaskoff, celebrity makeup artist Daniela Bell, fashion stylist Alex Cohen and me.

As many passionate entrepreneurs, my husband and I believe in multiple streams of income and have become health and wellness advocates who empower others on their health journeys. Over the past few years, Aaron and I have both battled health problems from leaky bowels, adrenal fatigue, dehydration, stress and a clogged lymphatic system due to lack of knowledge about food and supplements. We feel better than ever and now live a plant-based, alcohol-free lifestyle. We need health, vibrancy and energy to live our purpose, so our philosophy is that our health is our true wealth!

Are there any features or quality that are essential to success?

Without my faith and my realignment with God, there is no shadow of a doubt that I will be where I am, living freely and creating life and business around my passions and gifts. I almost had to kill myself to learn how to leverage my own energy and creativity by reconnecting with high power. We all have a certain set of unique qualities, gifts and talents. Today’s women have the freedom to become multi-passionate entrepreneurs and try something that lights her up. The world changes when women are “lit up” and fully express themselves!

Important receptions

Writing for The New York Times in October 2019, author Tracy Egan Morrissey each asked the question, “If less than half of the city is white, why is 100% of the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City white?” Former cast member Thomson also said that during her time on the series, she threw several women of color to the show’s producers to diversify its cast members because of her concerns about the issue.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA for short) is an American reality TV series that premiered on Bravo on October 7, 2008. Developed as the third installment of the Real Housewives franchise, it airs 13 seasons and focuses on the personal and professional lives of several women living in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

The current cast consists of Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams and Drew Sidra, while Marlo Hampton, Tanya Sam and Latoya Ali are currently housewives’ friends. Previously appeared cast members include original cast members Nene Leakes, Deshaun Snow, Shelley Whitfield, Lisa Wu and Kim Zolciak. Then added Padra Parks, Claudia Jordan, Kim Fields, Eva Marcir and Shamari Deveaux.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has received moderately favorable reviews from critics and has been perceived by some media outlets as a “guilty pleasure.” However, the series has been criticized for appearing to fabricate parts of its story. By February 2014, it was the highest-rated instalment of the Real Housewives franchise and the most-watched series aired on Bravo.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been announced as the third installment in the Real Housewives franchise, intending to take advantage of the success of its predecessors Orange County and The Real Housewives of New York City. Throughout its run, the show was led by five or seven housewives credited by their first names. The first season, which premiered on October 7, 2008, starred Lisa Wu, DeShawn Snow, Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak and Shelley Whitfield. Snow departed from the show after the first season, with producers claiming they considered her “too human for a circus show.” Kandi Burruss participated in the second season, which premiered on July 30, 2009.

The third season, which premiered on October 4, 2010, will see Wu leave, joined by Cynthia Bailey and Paedra Parks. The fourth season premiered on November 6, 2011. Whitfield ended the series at the end of the fourth season.

Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams take part in the fifth season, which premiered on November 4, 2012. The sixth season premiered on November 3, 2013, and featured the same cast as last season, with the exception of Zolciak, who left the program midway through Season 5. In the seventh season, which premiered on November 9, 2014, Williams was demoted as a housewife friend alongside Demetria McKinney, while Claudia Jordan was introduced as the main housewife. Leake decided to leave the show after seven seasons, and Jordan was fired from the show after one season.

The eighth season premiered on November 8, 2015, with Williams returning as a full-time housewife and Kim Fields joining as the newest housewife. Whitfield returned as a housewife friend with Shamea Morton. Leake, Jordan and McKinney appeared as guests. Fields did not return for a second season.

Important responses

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been moderately well received by critics. Writing for Common Sense Media, Melissa Camacho favorably talked about the series’ emphasis on “successful and powerful segments of the African American community” that appear to be frequently ignored by popular television. Seattle Post Intelligence’s Tim Hall commented on his general distaste for reality TV, especially the Real Housewives of Orange County, who he called “utterly ridiculous.” But he acknowledged that the dynamic and conflict between women, in addition to the wealthy lifestyle they led, was “somey funny.” In a more complex review, Alessandra Stanley of The New York Times joked that its depiction of wealth serves as “the best choice for a 10-year-old time capsule” in noting the economic downturn experienced by the United States around the time the series premiered. Zap2It’s Hanh Nguyen shared similar sentiments, noting that given the economic hardships in the U.S., the “flashy elite and rampant consumerism” that women regularly display, the program is never boring, but that you have to be in the mood to watch.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been recognized by some media outlets as a “guilty pleasure.” writing for About.com, Latoya West commented that the “self-absorbed” nature of housewives could be exciting to viewers, but noted that the series’ “bizarre dramas may be addictive.” Entertainment Weekly staff joked, “We’ll never be late for this party.” They felt “[Leake] could single-stop [The Real Housewives of Atlanta] on the map” and credit Zolciak’s “late train to Cuckoo Town, making all the local stops.” In 2009, essence writers recognized it as the best reality show of the year, noting that they “couldn’t get enough women” from the program. Writing for Today, Leslie Bruce commented that the Real Housewives franchise in general has risen noticeably because of its portrayal of women who are “foul-mouthed, often catfighting and always self-promoting” and that they “sometimes dominate the water cooler debate by showing the worst of women’s behavior.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been criticized for seeming to fabricate parts of its story. One source of speculation occurred during the fifth season when Kenya Moore demanded that Walter Jackson pretend to be her boyfriend. Series producers were reportedly not aware of the arrangement. Moore commented that such claims were “completely false” and further said he “urged viewers to keep expecting them as the truth comes to light.” Moore was also criticized for claiming she was financially stable, but she reportedly participated in the series as a source of income to offset difficulties in litigation from multiple creditors. In December 2013, Williams came under additional criticism for comments made in an episode that aired during the sixth season, indicating that she believed the subway was an actual railroad track.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta, S. Perry Recap, March 2013: Kordell Stewart Divorce, Former Footballer Ends Marriage to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star

Who didn’t see this one coming?! The drama-filled finale of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta hasn’t even aired yet, and already, “kontrolling” husband Kordell Stewart is putting the season — and his marriage — behind him, filing for divorce from his wife of just one year, Porsha Williams. But why is “Slash” refusing to pay spousal support?

Poor Porsha! All the girl wanted was a baby, and now, it seems she’s getting served with divorce papers instead!

According to documents filed on March 22nd in the Fulton County Superior Court and obtained by TMZ, former Pittsburgh Steeler Kordell Stewart claims that the couple’s relationship is “irretrievably broken” and reveals that the two are currently separated.

We guess the therapy session on the season finale didn’t go so well.

The paperwork suggests that there is a prenuptial agreement in place, as Kordell says that there are no marital assets subject to division, but “Slash” also goes as far as to say that Williams doesn’t deserve spousal support.

“[She’s] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself,” he argues.

Funny, since Porsha’s desire to have a career was a point of contention between the two on the show. Suddenly she can hold down a job “265 days a year”?!

At the time that the show was being filmed, Porsha referred to her husband’s behavior as “traditional,” but most thought it was just plain trifling, with fans and ‘wives alike complaining about Kordell’s controlling ways.

Did Porsha finally have a breakthrough, or was Kordell just tired of looking bad on TV?

Porsha Stewart Heard About Her Divorce On Twitter! April 2013 by D. Martin

Talk bout a crappy way to find out you’re getting a divorce. This one tops the list! I bet you’ll never guess how the Real Housewives of Atlanta star; Porsha Stewart learned that her husband of less than two years wanted a divorce. He posted it on Twitter! What’s up with that? Take the jump for more details.

If you’ve ever gone through a divorce, then you know how nasty it can get with all the mouth running and drama. But to broadcast it to the world before telling your soon-to-be ex-spouse that you even want a divorce takes it to a whole new level. I mean, we all confide our troubles to a friend or family member but to post it on Twitter? Come one…that was a bit much, don’t you think?

Porsha was napping at the time the news hit Twitter. Her sister ended up seeing it first and brought it to her attention. But when Porsha first saw the Twitter buzz about her divorce, she thought it was a joke. However, it didn’t take her long to realize it wasn’t a joke and that her marriage was truly over.

But that’s not the only shocker to this story. Get this, Kordell and Porsha are still living under the same roof! Say what? Somebody’s butt would have to vacate the premises. Do you agree?

What do you think about the way Kordell let Porsha know that he wanted a divorce? Do you think he was trying to avoid conflict with her? Or do you think this was a dirty move on his part? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear so sound off in the comments section below and tell us all about it.

Porsha Stewart Divorce: ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Reveals Shocking Details of Split from Kordell Stewart April 2013 by S. Perry

We knew Kordell Stewart was controlling, but who knew the former NFL quarterback was throwin’ so much shade?! Weeks after news of her divorce went public, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart opened up to Bravo boss Andy Cohen about her shocking split, and you won’t believe what she says actually went down.

Not many of us were surprised when we found out that Kordell Stewart had filed for divorce from his wife of less than two years shortly before the airing of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season finale, but apparently, we all got that news before Porsha!

The newcomer to the popular Bravo franchise revealed to Andy Cohen that she learned about the divorce via Twitter.

“I was laying in bed and I tweeted, ‘Today is the first day of the rest of your life.’ I put the phone down and took a little nap and I looked back at my phone and my sister was calling me over and over,” Stewart recalled. “She said, ‘Have you heard?’ and I’m like, ‘Heard what?’”

Porsha told Cohen that she saw other people tweeting the news and thought everyone was playing a joke on her.

And where was Kordell when all of this was going on? In the next room! In fact, their marriage may be over, but for now, the pair are still living under the same roof. “It’s a difficult, difficult situation right now,” said Porsha, who says that the two aren’t currently speaking. “It’s something I did not want at all.”

Porsha is back in the therapist’s office, but this time she has Kordell with her.  You can tell Kordell has absolutely no desire to be there or to hear what the therapist has to say.  “That’s traditional,” Kordell says about the roles he wants his wife to play in the house.  Porsha wants a baby and a career – but Kordell isn’t agreeing.  We might not know how the therapy session ends, but we know how this relationship ends!

It’s one hour before Kenya’s’ big party and she is stressing over the details. She has worked so hard on this party and doesn’t want to see it fail! “Today is like my wedding day,” Kenya tells the cameras. That’s kind of sad! As Kenya is stressing, the rest of the ladies are getting dressed for Kenya’ s big event.   Remember all the girls were assigned to dress as characters from black iconic films.

While everyone else is glamming up, Porsha is putting on a gold tooth and trashy wig. ”I’m going to participate and go with it,” Porsha tells her friends.  The friends are worried that Kenya is setting Porsha up to look foolish.  Kenya chose for Porsha to dress up as Haley Berry from the movie B.A.P.S.

“I feel so stupid,” Kandi tells the cameras about showing up to the party dressed as Tina Turner.  The party is in full swing and it’s time to introduce the host – Kenya Moore – as Foxy Brown. Kenya comes down the steps sporting a huge afro, a red tight pantsuit and swinging a gun. All is going well at the party until Porsha shows up as Dorothy Dandridge, not her assigned character.  Porsha lost the cheap wig, gold tooth and traded it for a sparkly gold dress and nice curls.  “This is not who I asked you to come as,” Kenya scolds Porsha. Now Kenya is scrambling with her party planners to cancel the B.A.P.S. portion of the “script.”  Porsha insists that Kenya was trying to insult her, but Kenya isn’t having it.  “Please escort her out,” Kenya tells the security.  “She can be who she wants to be where she wants to be,” Kenya says as she is booting them out the door. The other ladies are appalled by Kenya’s actions so Cynthia and Kandi also walk out! “F*%k her and F%*k her party,” Peter says as he is leaving.  The whole group and Kenya have now moved the fight to the parking lot.  “I apologize and I would like everyone to come in and enjoy themselves,” Kenya finally tells the girls.  Kenya walks back into the party and leaves the group outside to decide if they will come back in.  And just in time, NeNe shows up looking great in her Grace Jones costume.  “I’m going to take it for the team,” Porsha tells the group as they walk back in.

As soon as NeNe walks into the party she immediately grabs Kenya to talk to her about the situation.  “We’re supposed to be one,” NeNe yells at Kenya. Just so Kenya can keep the peace and enjoy her party, she finally apologizes to Porsha. Finally the show can go on.  As each lady steps onto the stage, Bravo gives us an update on the ladies lives.  Ms. Porsha’s life isn’t so perfect, because Kordell filed for divorce. Phaedra is pregnant with her second boy and is working on a pregnancy work-out video.  The Bailey Agency is still going strong for Cynthia and NeNe finally got her 15 carat engagement ring from Gregg. As for Kenya, she is dating an African oil tycoon and swears her booty video is outselling Phaedra’s.

So what did you think of this season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta?  Do you want to see Kenya back next season?  Let us know what you think, leave us a comment below.

The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: Booty Production Begins March 2013 by M. Thompson

The Real Housewives Of Atlanta is all new tonight on Bravo. Ms. USA becomes Ms. Drama Queen when she storms out of Kandi’s party because Walter is “stalking her.” Plus, the battle of the bootie videos continues when Kenya and Phaedra start production.

The episode starts where it left off last week, with Kenya storming out of Kandi’s house-warming party. “He’s a f-in stalker,” Kenya yells about Walter. The former Ms. USA is freaking out because she didn’t even bring her security people with her. Walter didn’t want to touch her when they were dating, so I’m not sure what she thinks is going to happen now? Kenya is now in full-blown psycho mode and is threatening to run over the cars that are blocking her from leaving. “I got you, but I need you to simmer down,” Kandi’s manager tells Kenya.  But when Kenya speeds off into the night he says what we are all thinking, “she’s dramatic as a mother-f*#$er.”

It’s time for Cynthia to have a chat with Kenya about all of this Walter drama. The two girls meet up for a drink and Kenya has her BFF (and our favorite gay friend) Ms. Lawrence with her. Cynthia tells Kenya  that she completely over-reacted the other night at Kandi’s party.  You think?  ”I have a right to feel how I feel,” Kenya defends herself.  But then Kenya takes Cynthia’s advice to heart and realizes she needs to put an end to this Walter chapter.  Besides this beauty queen isn’t getting any younger!

Porsha pulls her Mercedes into a parking lot – this girl is in need of some therapy.  And for once, it’s not retail therapy!  Porsha is meeting with her psychologist to talk about her relationship with Kordell.  “I’m not going to say the honeymoon is over, we are just going through ups and downs,” Porsha explains.   When Porsha starts sharing the story of her miscarriage with the doctor, she tears up and says she feels Kordell didn’t truly understand the loss.

Cameras are flashing and ladies are screaming when Kandi walks into her Bedroom Kandi event.  All these crazy ladies are consultants for Kandi’s sex toy line.  An emotional Kandi tells the women they made her dream come true.  By all the enthusiasm in the room – these sex toys must be fabulous.

Ms. Hollywood is back in town and is catching up with Cynthia.  The girls are drinking wine and talking about Gregg and NeNe’s relationship.  “Wouldn’t you miss a girl like me?” NeNe tells her BFF.  She admits that Gregg is her soul mate and she is much happier when she is around him.

Kandi and her man Todd are in bed and talking about her mother.  That doesn’t turn a man on Kandi!  Then Kandi drops the bomb that her mom might move into the guest house – Todd isn’t very receptive.  This gives Kandi the perfect opportunity to bring up marriage and kids. But more importantly, Kandi wants to know how Todd feels about a pre-nup.  “I believe in fairness, I just don’t believe in stupidity!” she tells the cameras.

The battle of the booties is on!  Kenya and Phaedra are both in the process of shooting their booty DVDs.  “I grew this thing, I didn’t buy it,” Phaedra boasts about her natural booty.  This healthy competition might have gone too far, these women are brutal.  “I’m serious about my workouts and she is serious about her meals,” Kenya jokes to the cameras. Kenya feels that she will get revenge when her video comes out on top.  I’m not sure about the videos, but I would say that Kenya wins in work-out wear.  Phaedra’s lime green one piece jump suit was a little too clingy!

NeNe and Gregg go out for a romantic dinner and talk about their relationship.  They both admit that the grass wasn’t greener on the other side.  Gregg is committed to get his family back, so he asks NeNe to marry him.  But Gregg didn’t get down on one knee nor did he have a ring – so NeNe didn’t bite!

Whose booty video would you buy? Are you Team Kenya or Team Phaedra?

House Wives Vs The Great American Bail Out

While watching some of the sound bites they allow you to see, I have seen two common threads of fact while watching the great American bank robbers. The first one is the congressional committees, which I like to call the “getaway drivers” mainly due to the fact that they are now working on giving my future great grandchildren money. Now, I ask you, how is that for success on their part? But these lawyers can’t possibly do this on their own, without the help of their accomplices, dumbing down, doping up the American public who continue to vote them back into office again. The next general thread I see is on beggars and they are always men. Real men, by the way, real men in the truest sense of the word, because real men never ask for direction, never ask for anything, they work hard when times get tough. These are men in name only, and despite their small stature, they have the right plumbing. One thing that they have in common among them is that they have a huge set of megaliths on their fruits of loom and they always show up with $5000. The beggar’s suit.

So far, two different types of begging strategies have been used, first used by the international banking cartel on Wall Street. Now, obviously, this method worked really well and not only did they get my wealth and the wealth of my children, they walked away with more than half of my grandchildren’s wealth as well. And to show their appreciation, they threw lavish parties, went on expensive vacations, and more golden parachutes never showed up like this throughout their landing on Normandy Beach during World War II. They simply said you give us this money or they will have chickens, cows and pigs flying through the air because of earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes, it all hits the fan! Congress confronted them, bent down and said ok, here goes, can I help you carry it in an armored car? The banker simply said no, but the next time you return to town, you can offer that service again.

The next begging technique was obviously flawed. Yes, they fly in private corporate jets and they are all $5000. suit, but these are people who are simply trying to get away with the car and get a piece of that action. This obviously did not go over well with Congress, so they sent them home telling them they needed a better ransom note than that to get over. So these suits went back to Detroit to have a meeting about what color crayons they should use for the next note.

If Sarah Palin had been on that congressional committee, she would have settled down and dressed for at least $10.50. One day the suits tanned their lairs and made comfortable bedroom slippers out of them. Was it because she was a Republican running for Vice President? No, it actually made her breathless as she was shaken by an old man who had forgotten why he was running for any office and which party he was running for for a while. Was it because she was a politician? No, every time she speaks, she’s not a politician. It’s because she is a housewife! A housewife with children, no less! So, this only qualifies her to deal professionally with politicians and men, hell, you won’t have any more anger when you try and check off b.s. or one of these types! Ask us how we know so much.

So, if we are really serious about fixing what is wrong with our country, I say we vote out all politicians and vote in housewives all over the United States. Their first week in office will have giraffes’ deep honey dewy asses. Things will be done soon or they will be done next week with starch in your shorts, you can best be sure. So, getting your American job back will never be a problem. And as long as you do not pull your weight around here or go to your room without dinner, there is no welfare for you. For the first time in history Congress will have a budget and be bound by it, just visualize men with $5000 to laugh at. Come to ask for things, a bunch of housewives and suits that have to be depressed! Ha! When they were done with them, they would rather have tried to push a stick of butter up the lion’s ass with a hot poker in the phone booth! I could just hear it now, “Try and take my kid’s piggy bank, will you threes a bag? If you buy us all the dresses we’ve seen in vogue and give us 700 billion, we might just let you walk out of here with your ass intact! What about threats?

The Real Housewives Versus Reality

The recent Season 12 reunion of “The Real Housewives of New York City” was a strange affair: since March, Andy Cohen, who has endured zoom reunions for Bravo shows like “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” After enduring zooming reunions for Bravo shows like “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Vanderpump Rules” and “Summer House,” Andy Cohen finally brought the women together. It was a small return to normalcy, even if, in the midst of the impending economic crisis, they had to sit six feet apart and cover the vast space between them with enough rug to keep Empire from going into the red. But before Tinsley Mortimer could finally berate Dorinda Medley, before Ramona Singer could apologize for everything she’d ever done, before Sonja Morgan could repeat, “We’re all going to die, but you can catch a nice dick while you’re at it. But first, everyone had to fight for ten minutes about COVID.

On a recent Instagram Live by Leah McSweeney, the latest apple holder, Cohen wrote, “I was having a great time during my quarantine in Florida and then …… I’m back in New York and I’m not taking this shit seriously: …. Bringing up her criticism of the “fuck yous” and the performers, she clearly directed her comments at Ramona, the only housewife who had survived the worst of the segregation in the South. Dorinda was also upset with Ramona, but this was already unfolding on social media, as just a few days before Guilfoyle tested positive for the virus, Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle attended a Hamptons Republican It was revealed that Ramona had been a guest at a fundraiser attended by Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle. In a decidedly political turn of phrase, Dorinda said that Ramona was hanging around Mar-a-Lago and not worried about the virus.

This argument was followed by Leah and Dorinda criticizing Ramona’s behavior, saying, “I didn’t have the virus. I didn’t have the virus,” “I don’t wear a mask in the ocean. I don’t wear a mask in the ocean,” she said in the affected tone of a five-year-old, pretending as if she hadn’t done anything terrible. It was the same kind of reality as watching my aunt and her high school classmates interacting on Facebook.

What made this part of the reunion strange and upsetting wasn’t the fact that the housewives were fighting. We’re used to it and welcome it like Kim Zolciak-Biermann welcomes lip fillers. That’s not to say that the housewives were fighting over who was assigned what room during the vacations, or whether someone deserved an apology. Now, all of a sudden, they’re fighting about things that really matter.

It’s a strange time for the Housewives series, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary this March. It became a cultural phenomenon because we loved to watch awful rich (sort of) people behave awfully. It was escapism. It was also a way to feel better about their lives. Sure, they may have been monsters, but they were our monsters. But will our monsters ever get over this particular cultural moment?

The battle of the RHONY reunion COVID reveals two major problems that Housewives, along with much of reality television, are staring at right now: the first is one of the reasons why Kardashians failed; the second is that we have no idea what to do about it. Reality shows take a very long time to get to us. We’ve already seen the battles being waged in the press and on social media long before they appear on our TV screens: on Twitter and Instagram, and perhaps on Pinterest and Grindr, where women and gays who love housewives congregate, by their ardent fans. How can this battle feel fresh when it’s already being analyzed?

Another problem is that the reality of COVID life has begun to invade the franchise, and our escapism is no longer escapism. The time lag in production is a blessing in disguise in this regard. During our confinement, we ate episodes that were filmed in a blissful time when no one knew what the R number meant. (Are we sure it’s not the number of a woman with the last name Richard in one episode of RHOBH?) Sure, we were cooped up in the house, but at least we had this to watch and heal us in between tumbles of fate. Now it’s coming to an end, and I don’t think any of us are ready for it.

According to the trailer, the vision of the future of reality TV is not a very good one. The trailer begins with the usual housewives debacle, but reveals that this season will eventually coincide with the start of incarceration. Producers tell the women to sit six feet away from each other, Kelly Dodd wears a mask with a zipper as if she believes masks don’t work, Shannon Bieder cries, “People don’t follow my rules,” and she breathes into what looks like a respirator! or breathing into some kind of breathing apparatus.

In particular, Shannon Storms Bieder is a woman so concerned about her health that she once had an enema shoved into her back. And these episodes appear just as we are on our way.

Even the upcoming “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is shockingly more diverse than dinosaurs like RHOC and RHONY. Can a city with a white Mormon faith and a reputation as the home of Mitt Romney’s clones have more people of color than New York or Los Angeles?

How can they make a movie when most restaurants are closed, families are kept separately, and public events are harder than covering your face at Trump rallies? But given that you’ve checked your bingo card for 2020, things are different now. Without political conflicts, public protests and pandemics, our favorite fearsome women could have been free to keep doing bad things forever. But now that more and more fans are held accountable to public officials for what they say and do on camera and in their personal lives, reality stars who grew up in aty will find a way to respond or, as Bravo has told us for years, the only way to find out is to “see what happens.”

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Jennifer Shah Arrested for Fraud

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennifer Shah was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of conspiracy to wire fraud and money laundering for her role in a “telemarketing scheme,” the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. Shah’s assistant, Stuart Smith, was also arrested on suspicion of fraud.

A federal judge in Utah agreed Tuesday afternoon to release the pair with certain restrictions: They cannot talk to each other or “engage in telemarketing.” Another court appearance is expected Wednesday in Manhattan, where the case is being prosecuted.

The indictment alleges that from 2012 to March 2021, Shah and Stuart “implemented extensive telemarketing schemes to defraud hundreds of victims” across the country. Federal prosecutors allege shah and Smith did so by selling the victims as “business services.”

Shah and Smith then joined a “concerted effort to traffic” list of potential victims called “leads” in the indictment. They are said to have done this knowing that these people would be scammed by others involved in the telemarketing scheme.

Some participants in the scam sold services “aimed at making the management of the victim’s business more efficient or profitable, including tax preparation and website design services, even though many victims were elderly and did not own computers.”

Shah and Smith received their share of sketch income under an agreement with other participants in the fraud scheme.

“Jennifer Shah, who portrays herself as a wealthy and successful businesswoman on ‘reality’ television, and Stuart Smith, who is portrayed as Shah’s ‘first assistant’, are said to have generated and sold a ‘lead list’ of innocent individuals for other members of their scheme to repeatedly scam,” he said. U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss in Manhattan said in a press release. “In reality, the so-called business opportunities that Shah, Smith, and their co-conspirators pushed on the victims were only fraudulent schemes motivated by greed to steal victims’ money.” Now these defendants face time in prison on charges of their crimes.

Shah, 47, and Smith, 43, face one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and could face up to 30 years in prison for “sacrificing more than 10 people over the age of 55.” They each face one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Shah’s work has previously been the subject of curiosity, attributed to some of the crew of assistants who travel with her everywhere. In the first part of the Season 1 reunion, Andy Cohen asked Shah a question from a viewer, “Why do I need four assistants?” He asked her to “clap for your amazing costume and break down what each does for you, other than driving you.”

Shah replied, “I need a lot of help, do you know? they all do different things.

Cohen then asked Shah what he had done for the job.

“My background has been direct response marketing for about 20 years, so we do advertising. We have a platform that helps people get customers, so when you’re shopping online or on the internet, if something pops, we have the algorithm behind why you’re being offered that ad,” Shah replied.

In an interview with Bassle in November, Shah founded and run the JXA Fashion, Shah Beauty and Real Shah Rush company and said marketing was the “core business” she led for almost 20 years. “I’m actually a geek,” Shah said, citing an affinity for algorithms, spreadsheets and “everything else that everyone else finds boring.” “Jen explained that her company was in charge of direct response marketing, and while about 90% of the work is now online, she specialized in infomerci marshals, direct mail and printing,” it added. Elsewhere in the interview, she joked that she was “like the Wizard of Oz, the person behind the curtain that no one is watching, but nobody knows how things are working.”

A rep for Shah said in an email to Vulture: “At this time, we do not have a comment. When Vulture sent an email to Bravo reps asking for comment on Shah’s arrest, they said, “The network does not comment. Bravo announced in February that there would be a second season of RHOSLC.

On the March 19 episode of the Bitch Sesh podcast, Cohen was asked if they were already filming season two. ‘Yes ma’am, we are filming. It’s winter in Salt Lake and we’re kneeling in the snow.

The fur store, located in Park City, Utah, posted a photo of Shah and co-star Lisa Barlow on Instagram on Feb. 28, writing, “Farbally remembered thanks to the real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Our beloved clients, Jen Sher and Lisa Barlow, brought their crew to film an episode for season 2. Until then, we’re on the edge of our seats!

Update, March 31: Shah’s virtual court appearance spiraled into housewife-style chaos on Wednesday due to technical problems with Skype on the business feed – at one point there were so many people on the call she couldn’t get into her own blame. Matters were so bad that Manhattan Federal Court Judge Sidney H. Stein finally rescheduled Shah’s arrest for Friday, April 2.

Before the proceedings began, there were signs that the meeting would be disrupted. About 15 minutes before kickoff, this reporter heard what sounded like a toilet flushing in the background. (Participants accessed the proceedings via Skype video, but the press and public were able to dial in to the conference call without video, so it was anyone’s guess who flushed the toilet.)

Soon, some callers neglected to mute themselves and publicly revealed what Bravo or RHOSLC fandom was all about. I heard someone say, “Do you watch Bravo? ‘It’s the best thing ever.

So, one of the housewives got, like, busted for fraud,” someone said. It was not clear to the vultures how many voices were weighing in on the merits of RHOSLC.

Then a major technical problem arose. Shah’s lawyer could not be heard for quite some time. Shah was able to see and hear Stein, but the judge apparently could not see or hear her. Shah tried to dial in again. By then, there were too many people on the call – 253 – for Shah to be able to dial in on her own accusations.

Frustrated with the proposed workaround, Stein decided to reschedule the meeting for Friday so there was time to set up a conference system that would allow for more attendees.

Update, April 2, 11:29 a.m.: Shah pleaded not guilty to both charges during his indictment in Utah this morning. Smith also pleaded not guilty to the same charges.

Stein agreed that Shah must remain free before trial, but set a $1 million personal recognizance bond backed by $250,000 in cash or property. Shah’s lawyers had not successfully argued that she was not a flight risk and did not have to put up the cash.

Initially, Stein seemed like he might agree, noting that Shah “is a participant in a popular television show” and that “her image is active on social media.

I have to say it’s highly unlikely she’s going to disappear somewhere and not be found,” Stein said.

Prosecutors said Shah and Smith had amassed “more than $5 million in criminal proceeds” in recent years and had access to this cash, increasing the risk of flight. They also said Shah “has not indicated a willingness to disclose her assets” at pretrial services.

Stein also instructed Shah “not to engage in drug use and not to use alcohol excessively. These are typical bail conditions, but given that the real Housewives universe is rooted in boogie dust-ups, it’s unclear how this will play out on the show.

The Real Housewives Exodus Continues

If you don’t watch reality TV, chances are you haven’t been exposed to the infamous ‘Real Housewives’ series that has taken the world by storm, and that’s probably a good thing: since the first show in 2006 established the formula of following the daily dramas of wealthy white women in Orange County, California. Since establishing the formula of following the day-to-day drama of a wealthy white woman, it has been repeated in different cities, including Melbourne and Miami, Cheshire and Budapest, Sydney and Johannesburg.

There’s also “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” says Brian Moylan, a pop culture writer and the series’ compiler, happily.” No one knows about Potomac, but they do know that there is a Real Housewives franchise”.

Housewives around the world fit a certain mold: wealthy, often (but not always) white, straight, attractive, and over 30. But the cities they live in vary widely, and fans of the series say that even though Real Housewives has become a global cultural centre, the differences haven’t been completely ironed out.

With prosthetic legs used as weapons and medical records falsified to prove a cancer diagnosis, it wouldn’t be fair to say that cities are the real stars of the show. But the intangibles of Auckland and Athens – their personalities, cultures and measures of success – are reflected in their respective programmes.

Camille Paglia, a scholar, cultural critic and “big fan” of the show, likens it to a post-war Hollywood romance film: “It’s not just that it’s a great show, it’s that it’s a great show. Camille Paglia, a ‘big fan’ of the show, likens it to a post-war Hollywood rom-com: “‘The Real Housewives’ is rich in geographical locale and ethos. The Real Housewives of New Jersey, for example, focuses on the family, which Paglia says accurately represents “a stratum of Italian life in New Jersey that didn’t work as well in The Sopranos.

By comparison, New York housewives are mostly single and pay more attention to their careers than their love lives. In Dallas, attention is paid to the social contributions of the performers, especially at the regular benefit functions, which are sometimes converted into monetary benefits. On the other side of the globe, The Real Housewives of Auckland reflects the relative lack of truly exclusive establishments in this city of 1.7 million people. It’s very Auckland,” says Duncan Grave of New Zealand pop culture website The Spinoff. He describes it as “an upmarket, unaffordable lifestyle” where “any redneck can book a table hours in advance and a main course costs about twice as much as the nearest food court.

“Of course, that’s why it was so endearing to the people who live here,” adds Greive.” It showed that the housewives were very real, with world class drama”.

“Each series is completely unique,” says author and journalist Elizabeth Day, “and each city is completely unique.” They kind of make the city a special character”. For example, ‘The Real Housewives of DC’ was cancelled because a couple of the actors broke into a dinner party hosted by Barack Obama at the White House with a camera.” It was a massive security issue,” Day says with a laugh.” It’s a particular reflection of The Real Housewives in one city.

Atlanta, Georgia, was the first city chosen by the producers to expand the show from Orange County 10 years ago, because of its wealthy African-American population.” Executive producer Andy Cohen told Atlanta magazine in 2009, “It was unlike any other city on television.

Steve Fennessy, executive editor of Atlanta magazine, says the show’s cast reflects a narrow segment of Atlanta’s adult population. In other words, these are people who aren’t ‘adult’ enough to be on the show.” White people in America outside of Georgia, or at least the South, don’t know how rich some of the black people in Atlanta are,” he says.” That said, the whole franchise is rubbish, so I don’t think it’s something that would make the cover of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s annual report”.

Now entering its eleventh season, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” quickly gained a reputation as one of the most vulgar high dramas of its format, and was considered by many to be an insult to the city’s predominantly black upper class. 2009’s Atlanta magazine reported that the most common complaint about “Trashionistas” in its first year was:” They don’t represent Atlanta. They don’t represent Atlanta! They don’t even live in Atlanta! That was it. Most of the stars live in the outermost suburbs, where the old money lives,” one fan tweeted on Reddit.” What is this, The Real Almost Married Women of Metro-Atlanta!”)

In the series, Cohen says Atlanta is an “integrated city” and “a place where our country could be anywhere. It is not clear, however, that this was actually the case. Residents at the time were sceptical, but a recent analysis shows that Atlanta has overtaken Miami as the most populous city in the USA.

As black women have become better (though still not fully) represented in popular culture, and feminists have sued for the franchise (by Paglia, Roxane Gay and others), Atlantic Housewives have been freed from the burden of representation. And that’s true for the city of Atlanta.” A lot of shows have been filmed in Atlanta, including FX’s Atlanta and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, but over time they’re no longer considered representative of the city in any sense of the word,” said Rodney Ho, a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a daily newspaper. reporter Rodney Ho of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.” Now it’s just a reality show that showcases Atlanta’s great restaurants and boutiques,” he says.

But fans know not to expect realism from a reality show. Not least because there is more than one truth to be told about a city.” Australian writer Amy Gray says: “The ‘Real Housewives’ franchise is built on the unholy nexus of urban stereotypes and money, and that’s why we watch it. According to her, the rivalry between Australia’s two largest cities is mirrored in The Real Housewives. Melbourne is positioned as a South Pacific city with European preconceptions, including a heavy use of tram cuts, while Harbour City is a beachside city with a botoxed swagger. According to Mr Gray, the lack of venom in The Real Housewives of Sydney was “very painful to watch” and it was subsequently not updated because it was “too radical”.
